Kool! Does a person set up there and watch for fires?

I'm not sure? I haven't been up there in over 10 yrs. When I was a kid they did. Then they dismantled the cabin on top, but left the tower. Now it looks like they rebuilt it. It may be one of those disguised cell phone towers, because I think they do most of the fire watching from satellites now. But I'm not sure.
