The Dead Weather - Treat Me Like Your Mother ------------Jack White's got another project, and when I found out about The Dead Weather and the celeb-hipster following it accumulated, I had my reservations. The Rancounters wasn't anything wildly impressive, and while Icky Thump resurrected The White Stripes just in time for festival performances, it was nothing too special.
The Dead Weather has a more reckless, uninhibited outlaw grunge to it, though, and it's sounding more and more appealing with every listen. "Treat Me Like Your Mother" sounds like a segway into the perfect incestuous-undertoned creeper song, but its a renegade bang-bang shoot-em-up barage of intimidating lyrics that's looking to start a bar fight. Get "Treat Me" from The Dead Weather's 2009 album, Horehound.

The Von Bondies took the stage Monday night at the historic Viper Room in Hollywood. The fearsome foursome gave fans a dream set which ran the gamut of the band's 3 studio albums. Power chords and anthems were the trend of the evening which seemed appropriate for the historic rock bar.
Tearing through hits like "It Came From Japan" and "Pale Bride," the band was on top of their L.A. game and looking hotter than ever. In between songs, singer Jason Stollsteimer whipped out the midwestern charm - blaming General Motors for Detroit's economic crisis and asking the crowd to buy drinks for his lady bandmates. His rapport with the audience was great. He joked between songs and even brought a lucky fan on stage for a "Happy Birthday" serenade. It's quite amazing how fast Stollsteimer switches from a wailing rock god pouring his heart out into the crowd to a loveable class clown just trying to get a laugh.
It wasn't all about the lead though... the girls got their glory when the crowd went wild after Stollsteimer suggested playing the bass heavy track "The Fever." At one point in the show, fans got to enjoy bassist Leann Banks bumping strings with guitarist Christy Hunt - a gesture which made male onlookers a little weak in the knees.
The band gave fair warning early in their set that they "don't do encores", but set everyone's hearts at ease by ending the set with their smash hit "C'mon C'mon," the theme song to FX's hit show "Rescue Me."
At the end of the act, I spotted "The OC" star Mischa Barton outside and was quick to ask her if she was a Von Bondies fan. Barton said that she was, has seen them tons of times, and was also at the Viper Room supporting her friend's band, Bloodcat Love, who opened for the Von Bondies. Seconds later, the band was out in front of the venue doing a brief photoshoot and von-bonding with family and friends.
I asked 3 of the 4 Bondies what their favorite things to do in L.A. were and they were unanimous about enjoying the beach in Santa Monica and eating at 101 Cafe where they might find Jack Black wasted at 4 in the morning. Stollsteimer was partial to the Arclight Theater, as well, where he first met and conversed about music with a make-up-faced Quentin Tarantino. And that's not the only celebrity Stollsteimer hob knobs with when in town... just earlier in the day he was chatting up Cheryl Hines of "Curb Your Enthusiasm", who Stollsteimer insists is hotter than any young twenty-something.
As for the girls, Hunt recommends getting drunk with your friends wherever they take you or checking out Hollywood Forever Cemetary to visit the graves of The Ramones, while Banks would rather work with her friend, Ali, at the Hustler store on Sunset if given the time.
With the rawest, studio perfect pipes I've ever heard on a singer, Stollsteimer and the Von Bondies really give fellow Detroit rockers Jack and Meg White a run for their money.
My Top 5 Von Bondies Picks:
"Lack of Communication"
"It Came From Japan"
"The Fever"
"Pawn Shoppe Heart"
"This Is Our Perfect Crime"

The White Stripes are an American alt rock band from Detriot, Michigan. Jack White is the lead vocalist and guitarist. Meg White is the drummer and backup vocalist. The pair pretend they're brother and sister, when in reality they were married when they started the band in 1997. They are now divorced.
The two are known for their blues rock sound and the color scheme of red and white they put in their clothes and music. They have released six studio albums including White Blood Cells, Elephant and Icky Thump. They have been influenced by a number of artists, including Bob Dylan and The Rolling Stones.
The White Stripes are always noted for having only two musicans in the band. Despite not having a bass player as Lindsay Lohan points out in Freaky Friday, their music has not suffered at all. Jack White says that he "centers the band around the number three. Everything was vocals, guitar and drums or vocals, piano and drums."
The White Stripes are one of my favorite bands. Their sound is a lot more original than a ton of other acts on the MTv circiut.
Some songs to check out:

White Stripes offshoot features members of the Kills, the Raconteurs, Queens of the Stone Age.
By Gil Kaufman
White debuted the band Wednesday night at a private party in Nashville, Tennessee, in front of 150 invited guests, according to a recap of the event on the Web site of White's Third Man Records, using the show to unveil the label's new offices/ record store/ photo studio/ performance stage in Music City.
The first public performance by the band included songs from its upcoming debut, Horehound, which was produced by White and is due out in June. The album was recorded over the course of three weeks earlier this year at the new Third Man Studio, which was, of course, designed "from the ground up" by White as well.
Attendees at Wednesday's shindig — which, according to The Associated Press, included Sheryl Crow, Martina McBride and the White Stripes' Meg White — exchanged their letter-pressed invitations for a limited-edition seven-inch vinyl pressing of the Dead Weather's debut single, "Hang You From the Heavens," which also features a cover of the new-wave classic "Are 'Friends' Electric?" originally by Gary Numan's 1970s band Tubeway Army.
In keeping with White's love of home-crafted musical curios, the bandmates hand-painted each of the 150 singles, which also included photo-booth pictures of the bandmembers. Both songs are currently available exclusively through iTunes.
"The idea was to do a seven-inch single and be done with it, but we started writing songs and something happened," White said, according to the AP, which also reported that the band plans to tour this year.
"Hang You From the Heavens" mixes the Stripes' signature fuzzed-out garage sound with some dinosaur-rock drumming from White and Mosshart's punchy blues singing. Over skuzzy, blown-speaker rock, Mosshart yelps, "I wanna grab you from the hair/ And hang you up from the heavens." The noisy Numan cover adds a 1960s psychedelic sheen to the robotic original, with watery vocals and woozy keyboards that have a vintage vibe but render the song almost unrecognizable.
The White Stripes have not toured since late 2007, when they canceled a string of dates following Meg White's bout of acute anxiety. It's unclear how the formation of this new band will impact the Grammy-winning duo's future. The normally prolific group, which has reportedly been working on new material, has not released a new album since 2007's Icky Thump, though they did give a wobbly performance on the February finale of "Late Night With Conan O'Brien." A spokesperson for White could not be reached for comment at press time. http://thedeadweather.com/

Tom met Jack White (White stripes) ?
Or at least Jack White and Tom Kaulitz, they met in Las Vegas and the young Kaulitz expressed his admiration for the guitar player from Detroit. Tom Kaulitz always admired Jack White and the White stripes, and ones of his favorites songs is "Seven nation army" and one of the first he was able to play in his guitar when he was learning as a child.
Both expressed their intention of doing something together someday... maybe this day is not that far? Jack White´s last colaboration has been in the James Bond movie Quantum of Solace soundtrack, with Alicia Keys and the song "Another way to die". Day 15:
Sunday-a-a-a-ay. Heehee part of one of my fave songs, Sunday by Sia which you should know by now. Anywayzzz, REDSKINS LOST?!?!?!?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! How could this happen?? I'm heartbroken. Just heartbroken. Why?!? Redskins had the lead for like 2 minutes and then they lost it by 2 pts. and that was the end.
Day 16:
I hate the combination of green and yellow. My friend, Drew has this outfit he always wears and it's like bright green and yellow. It's hilarious.
Anyway...I can bribe my friend Jacob with money. He's so desperate, for a girlfriend AND money! Poor kid.
Uh, I hate this girl at school. Her name is Tamia. See, it started on Saturday night. She 3-way attacked me. Like she had this girl named Chanel on the other line and I didn't know. Tamia said, "Heyy, do you like Chanel Willaims??" and I answered, "I really don't talk to her so I can't say that I do, actually." and then I heard, "Punk!" and I was like, "Who was that?!?" and Tamia answered, "Nothing, just my little sister!" and I knew she was lying. So then today she shows up to school and she says, "Heyy remember when I called your on Saturday?? Well Chanel was on the other line and it was her that said, 'Punk.'" Then she started talking about me, this girl named Alexis (no one likes her cause every guy likes her) told me that Tamia was running her fucking mouth about me. Then I said that I would get her back. And people know that you DO NOT WANT TO FUCK WITH ME! So she avoided me the rest of the day, probably cause she was terrified for doing what she did now...
Oh and also, the date for Folie a Deux has been pushed back. They didn't want to be selfish and take back from the election. Oh well, at least we get secret shows.
So my favorite songs right now are: The Carpal Tunnel of Love (that's where that lyric from the title came from) by Fall Out Boy, Seven Nation Army and Icky Thump by The White Stripes and Almost Easy by Avenged Sevenfold.

Mommy Mommy! I want a lolly pop TOO!!!
Britney Spears, negligent parent. New pics of Brit ignoring her kid have surfaced, no wonder K Fed is the better parent, he at least has his body guards help him out when he's got the kids... actually now that I think of it, I feel like he doesn't go in public with the kids... but people do camp at Camp Britney... I thought she lived in a gated community which prevents that... Anyhow, she keeps her cigs on a low table where its easy for Sean P to get at them. And kids will get into anything at their level... just give the kids back to K Fed ok? this is going to be a great episode...Perez Hilton is a moron. He was criticizing Luke Perry for choosing to appear in Law and Order SVU as a cameo over being a regular on the new 90210. Basically Perry is continuing to try to leave his teen idol status behind, like he has been, and show that he's trying to continue to prove he's actually a satisfying actor (I might even go with good, Jason Preistly too, he was on something I watch... I don't remember what). Anyhow, Perez is sitting there going "ohmygodican't BELIEVE he's picking that over 90210"... right, he picked a multi-Emmy winning franchise, which could get him a best guest star nomination of he does well over... a show on the CW... and he'll be in what appears to be a total kick ass episode (the season premier which features him, Julie Bowin and Sara Gilbert). Course SVU still lacks my Carmine, but its ok, I can wait for the season premier of CSI:Ny... I will be patient... Perez Hilton is a moron have I mentioned that? So today he loses 100 smart points (I use smart because I'm not sure he knows the word intelligent). Uh.... no not gonna happen Katy...So Katty Perry was all "ooh I wanna make out with Miley Cyrus, mmmmm, under-aged girls..." for the shock value (twit). Well Miley has turned her down officially. And more so implied it was just jealousy! "She sang on my record. So I think she's kind of getting back at
me, because she was doing harmonies and backgrounds," Miley
said. ( Source) Oh the torrid torrid lives of people not old enough to get liquored up in public. He's so...... white...Alecia Keys and Jack White are slated to do a DUET for t he new bond movie. Penned by White, who will also play on the track. This might just be awesome as long as it doesn't sound like the REST of what the White Strips have done. And speaking of people who I don't understand why they're famous: Cause big girls don't cry...Fergie is slated to play a hooker in the new movie musical Nine. The rest of the cast includes Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruze, Daniel Day-Lewis, Kate Hudson and Dame Judi Dench. And Fergie. I feel like I need to say that again, and "My Humps" "Fergilicious" "Glamorous" FERGIE. Its like they cast her for their own amusement "haha, lets see what the pop star does when faced with three (?) Academy Award winners... at least one of them a two time winner... hahahahaha... this is going to be great, we should make it a reality tv show...". Seth Rogan was caught on top of the theatre at the premier of The Pineapple Express smoking a funny-smelling hand-rolled cigarette. ( Source) And no one was surprised...
