Alright. So I am basically going into DT's from my Acadmey deprivation....even though I get weekly updates which is AWSOME. Anywho. I'm more than eager to learn more about thier upcoming record. In particular...Who is producing it?!?!
So if you could chose....who would you have producing the new TAI record?!?!?
A lot of bands have taken musical breaks and have come back before the world forgot about them. Many old fans like the new material, while others... don't.
I have picked four bands and artists that many people I know have complained about. If you think another recent comeback is worse, feel free to tell me in the comments!
They say that bald is beautiful. However, not everyone can pull off the look. The following musicians have tried -- but have they failed? Who do you think is the best looking bald musician?
You know how you love an artist so much it seems they can do no wrong? And then it turns out they can? Let’s face it, even some of the greatest artists ever have put out a crappy album or two (or three, or four). So, in what will be probably the second least insulting category in these awards, we present “Go back to the Studio and We Will Pretend This Never Happened” or “Worst Album by Good Artist.”
(I would like to remind you all that I am not the one who picks all of these, and that if enough people ask for something to be nominated, they go on the list. One of my favorite albums happens to be included in this category.)
Half the fun for American artists playing music festivals in England is slagging off other American artists. Prior to taking the stage at the Leeds circus of rock, Nine Inch Nails genius Trent Reznor managed to insult Fall Out Boy and the Smashing Pumpkins. According to Reznor, the Pumpkins are "a bit corporate." And don't look for Trent to be wearing a Clandestine hoodie. "I doubt you'll see me on the side of the stage for Fall Out Boy." Is Trent Reznor really so much better than everybody else? Or is he just old and bitter?
Midway through a Smashing Pumpkins set at Reading Fest this past weekend, singer Billy Corgan's eyes grazed past a woman donning a revealing outfit.
Rather than ignore the sites and continue on with the show, Corgan decided to announce, "There's something about a girl who's willing to take her top off so quickly. American girls are sluts too. See - isn't it great to be alternative - You can say all those things."
Two months ago I made a poll like this with some answers and I received a LOT of other different bands in comments.
So here is the new poll, with the ten most popular answers you gave me!
I put them in alphabetical order so you can't tell I favour one of them!
And if you still have another idea, tell us in a comment!
Has this radio station ruined the vibe? Anyone remember when you could get tickets to Glastonbury from HMV? Theyre selling out quicker than ever. Has the endless promotion of festivals by them made it impossible for real fans to get tickets? Do the bands care or are they just happy to rake in the money? Is there a real hysteria around gigs now, fuelled by them - or are people just more musically aware? Please comment........
Are Gerard Way and Billy Corgan separated at birth? Does Gerard aspire to Smashing Pumpkins fame? Are people still going to buy tickets to see MCR live when theyve been away for 10 years? I give credit to Mr Way for reminding me how great the Pumpkins are.......will bands be doing the same for them in years to come or is Gerard a wanabee.....
They did "Under pressure" with The Used. If they had to do another duet with a band, which band would you prefer it to be?
And do you have any ideas for the title of this song? Tell me in comments!
