schnap!
axa13, thequixotic1, & schvetbetty were 3 of my first buzznet friends. in fact, i can vividly recall our initial contacts, & perhaps the very first time each posted a comment in my blog (i'm now quite curious about those memories & will eventually go back to try to figure it out).
that said, i truly love this photograph! there's something particularly evocative about it (for me at least).
there has sort of been a surreal quality to each meeting with buzznet friends that i've had over the past several months. for me, this image suggests the "mediation" (in images, of course, as well as words) that has been crucial to our various contacts with one another, & to our very relationships...
such a small & magical world, in some key ways, no?
i wish that dial-up & other obstacles weren't keeping axa & ramona from checking into the buzz as much as when i first got to know them...

oh, well... so mid-20th century, eh?
If I looked as beautiful and natural in candid shots as this group, I might change my mind. : )
pax! great to have you back in the fold!
the camera was almost an afterthought on this trip, especially in louisville.
that felt liberating for me, in some key ways..
i also feel like our efforts to "real-time connect" made the pictures we did get all the more precious... i've certainly felt like i've been reexperiencing the journey, by going over almost two weeks' worth of photos!
&, again, pax: welcome back!!! :))))
