Dexter Holland Mourns Over Loss of Jerry Finn: 'He Was a Pleasure to be Around'
Last week, Mark Hoppus expressed his sorrow for the loss of Jerry Finn. Recently, Dexter Holland of The Offspring posted a message on the band's Web site, sharing his memories of the late music producer.

"We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Jerry Finn. We worked with Jerry in the studio many times over the years, and he produced the songs "Can't Repeat" and "Next To You" for our Greatest Hits album. He was a pleasure to be around and we are thankful for the time we were able to spend with him. Jerry left his mark on countless great records, and he will be missed. RIP, my friend."
Here is a list of some of the records Finn has worked on that you probably own:
Green Day - Dookie, Insomniac, International Superhits!
Blink-182 - Enema of the State, Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, untitled, Greatest Hits
AFI - Sing the Sorrow, Decemberunderground
Rancid - ... And Out Come the Wolves, Life Won't Wait
+44 - When Your Heart Stops Beating
Finn was taken off life support last month after suffering a massive brain hemorrhage. "Even though he did make snail-like improvement these past 31 days, he is not any better for words and has not had any consistency in the tests that the medical team have done for him," a close friend of Finn explained on the morrissey-solo.com forum (Finn helped produce Morrissey's upcoming record titled Years of Refusal). "At this time the hemorrhage has done massive damage to his body which will leave him severely disabled and in need of acute care for the rest of his life. We know Jerry wouldn't want to live like this in a vegetative state."
Once again, everyone at Buzznet sends our condolences to the family of Jeff Finn.
