The Maine's CD Release Party - The Hottest Ticket in Hollywood Last Night
The Buzznet CD Release Party for The Maine at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood last night was the place to be. Not only did fans come out in droves to celebrate and see The Maine, but so did A-list celebrities Paris Hilton, Benji Madden and Pete Wentz.

By 9:00 p.m., a gigantic line had formed outside of the venue -- quite an accomplishment in itself for a Wednesday night in Los Angeles, especially when the Espy's were taking place across town. The party, which Buzznet sponsored, went off without a hitch. The lineup for the evening included opening bands, A Rocket to the Moon and Eye Alaska close friends of The Maine. Several other artists came out in support, including Anarbor, Take the Crown, Jeffree Star and Millionaires.

A Rocket to the Moon's set started around 9:30 and Mr. Wentz came on stage to introduce the band. Note to self, keep the powerpop singer Nick Santino on your radar this summer. Eye Alaska took the stage next and kept the energy high, with its blend of rock meets R&B (think OneRepublic-meets-Maroon 5).

At 10:30 pm The Maine hit the stage and from the very first note, the Arizona pop-rock band proved its worth with perfect harmonies and a tight sound overall. Only in their late teens, the five members of The Maine, definately know how to own their instruments and rock a room of fans, celebs and industry shakers. After watching the band pound through tracks off its debut record, Can't Stop, Won't Stop, their performance would make any spectator wonder what is actually going to stop this band. The Maine is currently opening on the "Soundtrack of Your Summer" tour with Good Charlotte, Boys Like Girls and Metro Station).

Once The Maine finished their set, the afterhours V.I.P. party began for the bands and their friends only. DJ Sucio took over and the dance floor was packed ... even Paris Hilton and Benji Madden joined in on the fun. The Maine had it all ... celebrities, great music and best of all ... a chance for kids to meet their favorite musicians in an intimate setting.
