July 4, 2009You'll want to listen to this barefoot by a river. (This is a Summer Mix)Something that you might not know yet is that I love making mixes for every occasion. I made one for Summer, of course, and so far, I've enjoyed long walks, picnicks and chill outs with it. I hope you like it aswell.
1. A Little Help From My Friends - The Beatles 2. High Score - Eugene McGuinness 3. The Harrowing Adventures Of ... - Tokyo Police Club 4. Crawling Towards The Sun - The Hush Sound 5. Derek - Animal Collective 6. Caring Is Creepy - The Shins 7. Let's Be Natural - The Rutles 8. Normandie - Shout Out Louds 9. She's Got You High - Mumm Ra 10. Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds - The Beatles 11. Transantlantique - Beirut 12. New Slang - The Shins 13. Shine It All Around - Robert Plant 14. Le Moribond - Beirut 15. Sunshine Of Your Love - Cream 16. Bron-Y-Aur-Stomp - Led Zeppelin 17. Postcards From Italy - Beirut 18. 1979 - Smashing Pumpkins 19. Summertime Clothes - Animal Collective 20. Over The Hills And Far Away - Led Zeppelin 21. Elephant Gun - Beirut
This might be the weirdest mix I've done. First because I've combined bands like The Beatles with Smashing Pumpkins and do not even mention The Hush Sound. I basically put everything that sounded summerly to me there and that I had already been listening to these couple of weeks and noticed that it fit the mood. Second ... second? I really don't know. Do you have a mix for your summer? If it's so, share it with me. Also, what do you like listening to when you are at the pool, beach, on the fields with your friends or other summerly scene?

May 1, 2009Somewhere In The Act (chapter 17)two chaps in one day! WHOOP! =)
its kinda short but its just a filler.
I walked back into the house wiping the last of my tears from my face think about how Rowen was doing right now. I fell to my knees hit by the searing pain that went straight to my head. I crouched over placing my hands to the ground trying to hold myself up. And then I saw her sitting happily in the backseat of Brendon's car her humming along to some music that was blaring from Brendon's speakers. I could see William staring silently out of the window frowning to himself and Brendon tapping his fingers along to the music and concentrating on the road. As fast as it happened I was pulled out of the vision and I felt blood rush to my head. When I managed to stand up again I dragged myself upstairs to my room and collapsed on my bed exhausted by what had just happened. I tried to sit up but past out into blackness. "Oh god, my head." I moaned as I sat up then winced placing my fingers at my temples. I looked out my window to see it was cloudy and pouring. I winced again and tried to get out of bed but then my door opened. William walking in carrying what looked to be a hot cup of blood. "Don't try to get up, you've just experienced your powers and your body still has to get use to them." He chuckled handing me the cup; which I drank at once. "How long was I out for?" I asked rubbing my forehead. "Three days, you had me a bit worried most people only pass out for two." He sighed sitting down next to me. "So that's my power to see people?" I laughed then winced again. "Not exactly so far you can see what you're thinking of, I assume you must have been wondering how Rowen was doing and you got your wish; you were able to see how she was at that exact moment." He tried to explain. "I don't think that's all you can do though; I think you've just started to learn your powers." He grinned touching my cheek. I leaned my head against his cool hands and closed my eyes. "Look." He groaned. "I'm sorry for saying that you weren't fit to take care of her, that's not how I meant it. I know that if you were human you'd be able to take care of her perfectly," "It's alright, I overreacted." I smiled grabbing the hand that held my face. "I just, well I don't know how to explain it. I wanted her to stay here which is selfish of me; she deserves the best so I accept that she's gone." "She will live happily." He grinned looking into me eyes. "Let me guess you saw her future?" I laughed placing my drink onto my bedside table. "It happens." He chuckled pulling me into a tight embrace. I held him close and laid back down on the back and he climb in next to me pulling me close to his chest.
At dinner everyone was unusually chatty asking me about what my power was like and how I felt. I told them my story as thunder and lighting cracked outside. "Well I just felt and jolting pain unlike one I've ever felt before and then I just saw Rowen sitting in the car." I explained. "Well that's exciting!" Brendon exclaimed leaning over the table. "Not really I didn't think we could experience pa-" I was interrupted by someone crashing through the front door. "You've got to help! They've, they've got Gabe!!!" Sisky scream panting as if he ran the whole way here. "WHAT?!?!?!" Pete roared knocking his chair back as he jumped up from the table. --------------------------
whatevs its short, but like i said its a filler.

Somewhere In The Act (chapter 16) NEW CHAP!!!!!Woah it's been awhile, I really enjoyed writing this chapter so i hope you enjoy it too. Comments please! =)
--------------------------------- I laughed at the sight of them both covered in flour, Rowen giggling as William was trying to brush the flower out of his hair and utterly failing in the process. "So is this what you meant by breakfast?" I asked leaning against the door frame grinning. "Well I was making Rowen pancakes but someone decided to have a flour fight." William chuckled as Rowen hide under the table. "OH well why don't you get cleaned up and I'll make the pancakes. Rowen would you like a Mickey mouse pancake?" She popped her head out from under the table in a quizzical look. "It's a pancake shaped like Mickey mouse, would you like one?" I laughed picking her up and sitting her in a stool next to the table. She smiled and shook her head yes and waved to William as he left to go change. After she was finished eating I got her dressed in some clothes that Brendon picked up for her and watched her play on the piano in the sitting room. As she banged on the keys I noticed William standing in the doorway beckoning me to come over. "Pete needs to talk to you about Rowen." He sighed pointing his hand towards Pete's room. "I guess this had to happen sooner or later. Rowen, can you stay here and be a good girl for a few moments? I'll be right back okay?" I called to her. She smiled and continued banging on the piano keys. William led me to Pete's room and I was shocked on how it was. I've never been in his room before and it was covered with papers and there was a large oak desk in the middle of it surrounded by a few chairs. There was another door towards the end of the room which I assumed led to his bed. "Good Anya, William; Why don't we sit down and talk? It has occurred to me that even though Rowen would be much safer with us, there is no way possible that she can stay here. This is not an environment a little girl can live in." Pete stated as he sipped on his coffee. "But Pete, What if that other Vampire goes after her? Why can't she just stay here? I'd be happy to look after her-" I started but William shushed me. "Pete, have you found a suitable home for her yet?" He asked placing his hand on my leg. "Yes, there is a children's orphanage a few states away so the vampire that attacked her family will not be able to track her." Pete sighed shaking his head. "Pete, I understand that it's dangerous for her to stay her but an orphanage?" I cried. "Anya a girl her age will likely be adopted in no time; don't you want her to have a normal life?" He asked. "Yes I do but I want her to be loved after all that's happened, and I want her to always be taken cared of." I sighed defeated. "I have that taken care of; I set her up a bank account with enough for her to live happily. The account will become active once she turns eighteen." Pete smiled which gave me enough hope that Rowen would be able to live happily. "So when does she leave for the orphanage?" William asked. "Tonight, so our traveling will be less attracting. You and Brendon will drive her across a few state lines and by daybreak you'll be at the orphanage." Pete grinned knowing how simple it would be to get her there.
"So this is my last day with her?" I said to William as he shut the door behind us when we left Pete's room. "Yes, Look its best that she should be going it would be unfit for her to stay here." He replied hugging me. "Unfit?" I asked pulling away from him and staring at his eyes. "Anya, you didn't honestly think that you could take care of her did you?" I guess the look on my face gave it away because he sighed. "Oh, Anya that's insane, you're not fit to take care of her." He sighed shaking his head. "Oh so I'd I wouldn't be fit to take care of her? Alright I understand since I wouldn't be fit to take care of a little girl." I glared at him. "That's not what I meant." He started. "Save it, I have to go get her ready for the road trip tonight." I spat walking away from him to where Rowen still sat playing the piano.
After taking Rowen to my room with me, I sat her down and explained to her that she would be going to a nice place to live tonight and when she asked why she had to leave I couldn't tell her that we were vampires so I lied and said that this place was boring and a little girl wouldn't manage here. I packed up her things and got her dressed and ready to leave. William and Brendon were waiting patiently at the front door waiting to take her to the orphanage. I picked her up and carried her outside to Brendon's Jaguar which he then pressed a button on his keys which sent the car roaring into life. He hopped into the front seat and waited for me to set her in. "Well Rowen, It's time for us to say good bye." I smiled trying to fight back tears. "Anya I don't want to go!" She cried tightly gripping her arms around my neck. "Rowen," I sighed placing her into the back seat. "Now we already talked about this, believe you'll have much more fun at your new home." I gave her a hug and buckled her seatbelt. "Anya, will I see you again?" she sniffled tugging on my arm. "Maybe again someday, but here, I want you to take this to remember me by." I smiled unclipping my pearl necklace and clipping it around her tiny neck. She smiled and cooed about how pretty it was. "Goodbye Rowen, have fun." I murmured kissing her forehead and shutting the door. Her tiny hands waved goodbye as she smiled from the backseat. I stepped away from the car folding my arms across my chest trying to keep the tears away. "She'll be fine Anya don't worry." William spoke touching my arm gently. "Just please get her there safely," I whispered to him as he jumped into the passengers seat. As the car pulled out of the driveway I waved one last goodbye to the small girl, this time with tears falling down my cheeks.
