November 22, 2009Lovesick Melody [One Shot ] PREVEIW
Thunder rolled and lightning clapped. It was the biggest thunderstorm that Seattle had seen in over a year. Hayley was bundled up tightly in her blanket, under a giant quilt. It was about midnight according to her alarm clock sitting by the bed. The wind was blowing hard, making the trees outside her window brush against it, making a spooky noise and casting haunting shadows. She couldn’t sleep and was getting angry because she was going to have to get up at 5:30 in the morning to get up and put chains on her tires to drive to school. It was the first day of school. September 9. She despised that number because she was a senior and it was the first day at a new school. Her mom wanted to move to Seattle for a job, even though there had been a high number of reported and unsolved murders. As the storm continued to rage, she got out from under her blankets and walked into the closet, getting a snow jacket, gloves, and another pair of sweat pants. She put them all on and took her journal and a pen out of her drawer. She sat on her bed, the blankets over her legs, and began to write. She was writing all her feelings about starting a new day at a new school. She wrote and wrote and wrote and when she glanced at the clock, 3 hours had passed. She was going to be really tired at school today, and decided to go back to sleep. When she woke up to the sound of her alarm playing the tune of If I fell by the Beatles. It was still dark in her room which meant that it was really cloudy outside, but quiet which meant, for now, that it had stopped raining. She went back into her closet, coming out with black skinny jeans and a striped black and white turtle neck. She went into the bathroom, taking a quick shower and got dressed. She straightened her red hair and purled the bottoms, deciding that she would try to be different this year. She took the blade that she always carried with her and placed it in the makeup bag that she used for her pencil, and placed it in her bag. She took a spiral notebook that she picked up at a Dickies store in Carson, California and put it in the bag along with her journal. She went downstairs and found a note that had her name on it.
This is just a preview of the oneshot, so please read when i re-post because it will be the full one. I must warn that it is going to be a little long. I will probably post on friday or saturday, maybe sooner if I have time. <3 Bridgette

August 1, 2009Michelles Playlist - Week 1So every Saturday imma post a playlist of songs im loving at the momenttt :) This week will be 60s to 80s classics with some songs from the 90's thats werent so bad, i was born 1993 but really, i shoulda been born in 1983 haha.
1. Blondie - Maria . seriously, this band are amazing and Debbie is such an epic win! This song is an oldie but a goodie.
2. The Beatles - Twist And Shout . Need I say anything about this song? ITS THE FREAKIN BEATLES! They're the biggest band ever , you can help but dance and or sing along to this classic :)
3. Queen - Your My Best Friend . The whole grammar thing gets to me with this song title. I was brought up on Queen's music since I was a baby and its stuck with me, i love Freddie's voice and its such a shame he died. Any queen song is amazing but this is deffo one of my all time favourites by them.
4. Aerosmith - I Dont Wanna Miss A Thing . New Found Glory did a cover on this and their cover makes me want to get sick seriously their covers of classic songs are usually amazing but this one butchered it so badly BAD NFG BAD BAD >:( Anyways, this song makes me cry every time i listen to it, in fact its on my itunes right now. The lyrics are just mindblowing and i think personally, they say everything people feel when they're in love. I one day hope this song relates to how i feel about someone. AEROSMITH FTW not to mention they were in Waynes World , i. love. them.
5. Belinda Carlisle - Heaven Is A Place On Earth . Its my phones alarm ringtone, its possibly one of the best songs to come of the 80s no matter how cheesy some may say or think it is, nothing beats how amazinly fun it is to dance to. The video for this song is kinda sorta a lot weird with the people with masks and little tiny globes but the song is amazing.
6. Dead Or Alive - You Spin Me Right Round . Oh gosh, this song is just amazingly hilarious. If you ever wanna spam someones computer and make umm penis pop up on their screen a lot give them this link " http://meatspin.com " this song plays in the background, i got Rachel 3 times in a row in one hour with it haha, but first send them to " http://leakspin.com " its a girl spinning a leak, it will be unexpecting then :) The guy who sings this song reminds me or Jeffree Star in the sense that he looks like a butchered dude trying to pull off a woman look, only this dude is way better...
7. Elvis Presley - Devil In Disguise . This dude DID die on a toilet, my friend went to a toilet museum and they had a fun fact on every toilet and on a random one it said The King died on a toilet like that one haha. His music was just mindblowingly amazing. I love to just dance to this when off my face on sugar and want to dance.
8. The Isley Brothers - Shout. Nuff Said.
9. O - Town - All Or Nothing . When watching an ATL video i realized i had this song that they were singing to whilst drunk. Everyone knows the words weather they want to admit to it or not, its one of those songs you involuntarily (Sp?) learn the lyrics to cos its played so much, like a Beyonce song or something. As retarded as this song may be its funny to sing along with be that sober or drunk...
10. Queen (again) - Save Me . Awwh man this song makes me cry, they played it at Freddie Mercury's funeral back when he died. Queen were the best band ever and you cant deny it by saying "OMFG NO THEY ARENT MCR SO ARE" well they arent, MCR dont measure up to the musical genius that is Queen. Deal. Not only was Queens music legendary but their videos too, the likes or Anotehr One Bites The Dust, Bohemiun Rapsady (i dont have it on my laptop cos its on my PC still so i dont have the spelling..) and the video where Freddie dressed as a woman, those are the best of the best. Guitar riffs were seriously legendary with this band. Nothing has been able to beat Queen as the best band to ever play and I highly doubt there ever will.
There are so many more songs I have like these but those are my favourites lately, runner ups were :
The Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive Jennifer Rush - The Power Of Love Kate Bush - Wuthering Heights Madonna - Like A Prayer
And so much more. Till next Saturday :)
xo
P.s sorry for any typos, not bothered checking for any haha.

July 4, 2009You'll want to listen to this barefoot by a river. (This is a Summer Mix)Something that you might not know yet is that I love making mixes for every occasion. I made one for Summer, of course, and so far, I've enjoyed long walks, picnicks and chill outs with it. I hope you like it aswell.
1. A Little Help From My Friends - The Beatles 2. High Score - Eugene McGuinness 3. The Harrowing Adventures Of ... - Tokyo Police Club 4. Crawling Towards The Sun - The Hush Sound 5. Derek - Animal Collective 6. Caring Is Creepy - The Shins 7. Let's Be Natural - The Rutles 8. Normandie - Shout Out Louds 9. She's Got You High - Mumm Ra 10. Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds - The Beatles 11. Transantlantique - Beirut 12. New Slang - The Shins 13. Shine It All Around - Robert Plant 14. Le Moribond - Beirut 15. Sunshine Of Your Love - Cream 16. Bron-Y-Aur-Stomp - Led Zeppelin 17. Postcards From Italy - Beirut 18. 1979 - Smashing Pumpkins 19. Summertime Clothes - Animal Collective 20. Over The Hills And Far Away - Led Zeppelin 21. Elephant Gun - Beirut
This might be the weirdest mix I've done. First because I've combined bands like The Beatles with Smashing Pumpkins and do not even mention The Hush Sound. I basically put everything that sounded summerly to me there and that I had already been listening to these couple of weeks and noticed that it fit the mood. Second ... second? I really don't know. Do you have a mix for your summer? If it's so, share it with me. Also, what do you like listening to when you are at the pool, beach, on the fields with your friends or other summerly scene?

May 3, 2009Why'd You Have To Go? {One Shot}Mya sighed as she parked her car on the curb...again. This was their house damnit, so how was it that she was always the one to have to park in the street. Her and Alex were going to have to have a chat about that. As she grabbed her purse, she noticed what was different about her house this evening. The red Camry parked in the driveway. Mya walked a little faster up the driveway, expecting total chaos and disaster to be in the house. Another one of Alex's parties going on. When she opened the door, the silence greeted her. She sighed in relief and chucked her keys on the coffee table, shuckled off her shoes and dropped her purse on the couch. "Alex?" she called softly. No answer. Heading up the stairs, she began to hear noises. They got louder as she neared her bedroom. She opened the door and stopped. Oh, yeah. There was a party going on here tonight. But it was a party for two. Alex pulled away from the girl he was gripping onto. His glazed over eyes met hers. He was drunk. Incredibly drunk. He shook his head at her shocked expression. "Hey, hun. How was work?" Mya was confused for a second before she thought she was going to blow up. "Excuse me? That's all you have to say? 'How was work?'" Alex tilted his head to the side a little bit and raised his eyebrows. "What else is there?" "You could tell me what the hell you are doing with this...this...TRAMP!" "Oh. Uh, Mya, baby, this is Shelley. Shelley is an old...haha, friend of mine." Shelley smiled and wiggled her extensively manicured fingers at Mya. Her clearly fake blond hair was offset by deep-brown eyes and fake boobs that made Mya just the teeniest bit jealous. Not that Mya was lacking anything. Not really, anyway. She had light brown hair, which was usually pulled up into a ponytail, and big blue eyes. In the boob department she was a sure B. But she new she didn't compete with Shelley aka The Fake Bitch. "What is she doing here?" Mya asked. Tears glistened in her eyes. She knew that there were other things she should say, other things she should do, but she couldn't. She couldn't find the strength to tell him off. To tell him goodbye. Instead, she squared her shoulders and crossed her arms. "Ah, what? Oh. Shelley and I are going to a party tonight. We got a little caught up and were about to have a pre-party before you came in. Just as well though. We wouldn't want to be too late to the party now would we?" Alex said, grabbing Shelleys hand and pulling her toward the door. Something inside Mya snapped. And tore. And shattered into a million little pieces. It may have once been her heart, but she couldn't tell through the pain. "You leave, Alex, and I won't be here when you come back. I mean it. I'll leave. Go visit my parents out in California and not come back." Alex just shrugged and continued walking with Shelley. Mya heard the front door click shut and she collapsed into a heap. Crying tears of pain and frustration didn't seem to get her anywhere. She wanted to get out. Now. Alex walked into the dark house a hours later. Flicking on a light, he walked right up the stairs and into the bedroom where he assumed Mya would be waiting. He was wrong. No sign of her there. He shrugged out of his coat and hung it up in the closet next to all of Mya's clothes. She was probably in the bathroom or kitchen. Her car was parked in the drive and her favorite book sat on the night stand. Alex walked closer to the bed and saw the sticky note, flapping in the wind caused by the ceiling fan. "Tonight I'm leaving on a train." he read out loud. Disgusted, he crumpled up the note and tossed it across the room. Whatever. She would be back. Mya always came back. Besides, it was her fault if she hadn't caught on yet. She wasn't the most important thing in his life. She wasn't. Never had been. Alex fell onto the bed, knowing that Mya would be back soon. Memories became a drunken blur and he drifted away. He awoke around five the next afternoon. It was Sunday, the day he reserved for Mya. No other whores that day. She should feel lucky. He didn't do that for just anyone. He trotted down the stairs. Nothing had changed. Mya still wasn't back. He shrugged and trudged into the kitchen where he pulled out the box of leftover pizza and a can of Coke. Taking his meal into the living room he flipped through the movies where he settled on Indiana Jones. Outside the sun was setting. Again, he shrugged. It was just another sunset. Just another day. Nothing was bothering him. Two days later, little things began to bug him. "Where the hell is that godforsaken spoon!" he shouted as he rifled through the silverware drawer. The spoon in question was his spoon. His favorite for some reason. And he couldn't find it. "Gah! Mya would know where it is." As soon as the words came out, he knew they were wrong. He didn't miss Mya. He didn't need her. Couldn't need her. Because to need someone was to rely on them, and Alex knew firsthand how badly that could backfire. So he kept everyone on a long leash. Staying close, but not close enough to get bitten. Running a hand through his hair, Alex gave up looking for the spoon. He needed to get out of the house. He could call Shelley, but he didn't feel like it today. Something was off. He stared at the phone. He knew the number by heart, but didn't dare call it. Another week passed and Alex was still pacing the living room. He was feeling the emptiness now. He wanted her back. God, if it didn't kill him, but he wanted her back. He missed her. The way she blew everything off just to have a minute alone with him. He hadn't seen it before, he hadn't wanted to either. But now he was mad at himself that he didn't, hadn't. Outside was dark and storms filled the skies. Thunder echoed throughout the empty house. The power flicked out. He was alone. In the dark. It was nights like these that made Alex regret not saying something to Mya. Nights like these that made him wish he had showed Shelley the door and walked back up the stairs to Mya and whisked her away. His fingers still itched to call Mya, to beg her to come back. He shook his head, trying to erase all images of her from his mind. He grabbed his iPod and turned it up on high. He sighed as the music hit his ears. It was Mya's favorite song. His heart was heavy and felt like it was being torn in pieces. The fact that John Lennon was a fucking good singer didn't do much to help. Getting to his feet, he knew what to do. As he cleared the city, the sun peeked out from behind the clouds. John Lennon's voice still rang from the speakers of his car. Alex opened his mouth and sang along. "Close your eyes and I'll kiss you, tomorrow I'll miss you..." The drag stretched on for miles and he was restless. When would this torture be over? Mya hummed "All My Loving" while she walked through the kitchen of her parent's small home. Her mother came up behind her and wrapped her arms around her small waist. "I love you, ma petite fille." she said, her slight french accent slipping in. Mya smiled and turned to hug her mother. She smiled a little before moving to the back of the house to her small bedroom. Flopping down on the bed, she held back the tears again. It was hard, but she was getting better at it. She opened her phone, intent on calling her boss and telling him that she was quitting, that she was moving to California, no two weeks notice, but the screensavor stopped her. It was a picture of Alex, at the baseball game they'd been to weeks before. He was smiling as if he didn't have a care in the world, though Mya knew better. Her heard tugged. What she'd give to see that smile again... Thinking of Alex brought back old feelings. Did he miss her? Did he even notice she was gone? Probably not. She knew better than to think that he might. That maybe, just maybe, he wanted her just as bad as she wanted him. She remembered the first time they'd ever kissed. He'd had ice cream off the corner of his lip and for some reason, Mya had been bold enough to kiss it off. She blushed at the memory. But it made her crave him again. God, she missed how he kissed her. The next morning, Mya sat at in the dining room, sipping at her coffee and moving the eggs around her plate. The doorbell rang and her father huffed, mumbling something about the nogood neighbors who thought it polite to interrupt his newspaper time. He called for her mother and the little woman shuffled to the front door. Mumbled voices became clearer and Mya ditched her uneaten breakfast to see what all the commotion was about. She nearly died at what she found. It was just like a movie. Alex stood in the doorway, looking tired and worn. His black hair was in disarray and there were bags under his eyes. "Please, just let me talk to her..." he pleaded. Her father attempted to fight him off but Alex's eyes snapped up to where Mya was halfway hiding behind the wall. "Mya..." his voice came out barely a whisper. Mya took a deep breath and walked closer. She smiled at her mom, signaling her it was okay to leave and her mother grabbed her father, much to his protest. Before he left, her father pointed to the gun case, made a pistol with his fingers and fired at Alex. Mya looked at Alex, the tears already forming. "Did you come to show off Shelley again? What? She get her boobs redone?" Mya said, dry sarcasm in her every word. Alex winced. He reached behind his back and produced a bouquet of daisies. Mya was silenced at once. Every single flower was pink, with the orange thing in the middle. "I know that they are your favorite. Did you know that only one place in the entire country carries them in bulk? I had to stop at eight different stores in ten different states to get you them." Mya grabbed the bouquet and crushed it to her chest. She didn't know what to say, but it didn't matter, because Alex spoke instead. "I'm so fucking sorry. Aw, shit. That's not going to help at all but, I am, Mya. I really am. I listened to "All My Loving" the entire way here. Not a single other song. I didn't want another song. That is the only song I think of when I see you. It's your song. Our song. I was stupid, Mya. Shelley means nothing to me. And I-" his voice broke, "I didn't think you meant anything to me either. Until you were gone and I realized how lonely my life is without you. I didn't want Shelley when I was alone. I wanted you. I needed you, Mya! Remember that one day last winter when we were first dating, you were trying to teach me what a tourniquet was? I wasn't really listening and I didn't think anything of it then but now... Now I need you to be my tourniquet. My heart is fucking ripped up, torn, shred... I need you to stop the bleeding." Alex stopped. He was crying. Tears flew down his cheeks. He reached up and wiped away one of her tears. "Mya, I love you," he said, his voice thick with tears. Mya cried. She couldn't speak. Couldn't move. All she could do was cry and try to fix her brain around what was happening. She shook her head. "No! No! No! No! NO! No, Alex... I can't- I don't know how... I can't think! God! God! God! God! I've loved you for months! I sat by and watched you whore around because I couldn't imagine life without you but that's only because I hadn't had it." Alex's shoulders dropped and Mya braced herself to what she was about to say. "And then I had it and it sucked, Alex. You... you make everything so damn difficult! I want you, only God knows how much. I need you." She ran a hand through her hair, which was hanging down past her shoulders now. "But I can't trust you. How do I know that your not cheating on me? How do I know that you haven't gone out with Shelley or one of your other 'friends'?" Alex looked at her, a hardness in his eyes now. "I know you don't trust me and I deserve that. But, like you, I saw what life was like without you. Sucked is the understatment of the year. Did you know that the entire way here I prayed you were all right? Basically begged God that you hadn't moved on? I need you so bad and I still do. I know you don't trust me, and I'm not asking you to. I'm just asking you to love me like you always have and to let me love you back because I'm over all the shit that we were through before. I'm over it, Mya." Alex closed the feet remaining between them in one swift motion, put his hands on either sides of her face and kissed her. "I love you," he mumbled into her lips. Mya's only response was throwing her arms around him and kissing him back. "Iloveyouiloveyouiloveyouiloveyouiloveyou." End Scene. Fade to black...
