for a long time now, i've wanted a new computer. my current computer is such a dinosaur -- it has a floppy disk drive. really. i don't even have a flat screen monitor. it's one of those old ones that looks like a television screen. i saved it from about a year and a half ago from a garage sale. nobody bought it and the people were going to throw it out, so they gave it to me. it's started to play up a lot lately so i decided it was time for an upgrade. a big one.

i need a laptop because i'm running out of desk space, and what's the point of getting a laptop if you aren't going to get an apple macbook? i had an impulsive urge a few days to go and buy one from jbhifi, but i'm so glad i waited because i found one on ebay today which is still brand new in it's box and it's so much cheaper than it would be buying it in a store. it's totally affordable now, because i should be getting my tax return soon (praise the lord, hallelujah). speaking of tax returns, i just mailed it off today so will probably have to wait another few weeks. i can be patient... i think.

can you believe still no one's bid on my items on ebay? they're posters! good official promotional movie ones! my dad's having better luck; he's selling a car and it's already had two bids. (okay, one of them was me bidding to get the price up, but no one knows that.) i bought him overhaulin' season four on dvd today, as an early fathers' day present. i'll never understand his obsession with that show.

i finally got my package from forever21 yesterday morning. so happy with the shoes, they're so hot. i also got some really cool purple nail polish, a pair of cute drop earrings and some dark grey eyeshadow that has silver glitter in it. it was like, three dollars so naturally, i had to. of all the different nailpolishes i own, i didn't have any purple, but now i do, so that's solved.

today i bought tickets to a lisa mitchell gig for (almost) everyone i work with. i'm excited, it will be the first time that all of us will get to go out together in a group. my manager and another girl aren't coming because they're not really into lisa mitchell, and there's another girl who is underage, so she's not going either. one of the guys i work with is just plain weird, so he's not coming either. i did the nice thing and invited him anyway and honestly, i was glad when he said no. it will be better without him.

my blogs are a bit random. maybe at some time in the future they'll flow a little easier. or maybe it's because it's 1am and i'm dead tired. probably the latter.

the song 'sleep' by kimya dawson just came on my itunes on shuffle. it must be a sign.
