take action tour - australia
sunday 7th of june 2009.
i was so blown away by the bands who were part of the take action tour in adelaide, australia. first off the bat was a local adelaide band enolas secret. i had never heard any of their music before but was pleasantly suprised when they started playing. they were a good way to set the night off. their rock/alternative sound was different and their stage presence was great.
after enolas secret's set was another australian band stealing o'neal. i had heard of them before and was excited to hear them play live. the boys put on a great show despite a few guitar troubles. their sound was a bit like coheed and cambria. i really enjoyed it. their music was catchy and made you want to move. an added bonus to stealing o'neal was that the lead singer was adorable ! the only bad thing about their set was when alex gaskarth from all time low came on the stage. nothing personal, but it kinda took the focus away from stealing o'neal. just my opinion.
next up was set your goals. they were amazing. they put on such a great show. they got the audience involved and were mind blowing. they were everything i imagined them to be and more. once again in my opinion, their best song of that night was mutiny. that song is just the ultimate. there was probably not a single person in the audience who wasn't moving.
last but not least on the line up was all time low. you can imagine the reaction of the audience when the boys walked out on the stage. all time low started off with a bang and then slowed in down a bit with remembering sunday. the boys in atl are hilarious, they just talk shit whenever they want. after their set had finished, they came back on for an encore where they played both weightless and dear maria, count me in. two fat girls got on the stage. it was ridiculous. but as excpected, they were taken off. i loved how everyone already knew all the words to weightless. that was the song i had been waiting to hear all night and it was definetly worth it. i hadn't been that excited since feb/mar earlier this year.
the take action tour was one of the best things i have experienced in a very long time. i saw four amazing bands and a naked guy on stage during all time low's set. probably the best $48 spent.
