First SXSW Day: Bad Things Happen In Three
Pretty much today hates my guts. Literally my guts.
I started off the morning by puking first in my bathroom and then twice on my way to pick up Redpatterndress in the cab to go to the airport. Yup that's right I covered a few of the streets in West Hollywood with the Trader Joes Pizza Olympiad I stuffed my face with last night at 2:30 am when I got home from Cinespace from Kid Cudi.
Anyway - totally my fault, drank like I was underage all over again. Lesson learned - don't go out until 2:30 am when you have to wake up for a 9:40 am flight. DUHHH!
Okay, so I actually survived my flight. Arrived in Austin - YES!
Beautiful weather, sun shining, 6th street packed with music and energy.
Driskoll Hotel totally meets my approval - 5 star all the way baby.
Then go to pick up my badge, which of course was not there. Confusion in the world of SXSW badge organizers, so not what I felt like dealing with.
Then went to pick up Fader Fort bracelet - which later this week I will have more stories and pics of.
Then came back to the hotel, needed to rest and eat. Lounged for a bit and watched LOST (so good by the way). Planned on getting off my ass by 11:00 pm to start my night of shows. Well of course my calendar decided to sync up WRONG and kept me on Los Angeles time. So basically I missed a few shows that I thought I could make it too.
So you know how they say bad things come in three. Lets cross our fingers and our legs that my bad luck is over.
Heading out now to go see Magneta Lane, Woodhands and Mother Mother. Hoping to get down with some Canadians.
