Day ??? of the strike

As you might know the public transportation in Berlin was partly on strike over the last two months. It seemed like they would never find an agreement but they finally did.
They demanded a raise in wages of 12% but the employers refused  it. They fought and fought for several weeks. The last one or two weeks the workshops, service and administration striked and the passengers noticed it very fast: Because of broken trains that could not be repaired they replaced the normal trains with very short trains that had not more than three or four waggons. But the trains were also out of step. You had to wait up to ten minutes for a train that was totally overcrowded (The normal time of waiting lies between three and five minutes...). Last week the bus service was set out because the busses were broken. I'm glad that I never have to take the bus..
Yesterday the public transportation dug their own grave in my opinion: They accepted an average raise in wages of 4,9%. This is ridiculous when you think of the time and money that was spent for their battle. Of course, getting a raise is good. But the price they pay in the public eye is ridiculous. Everyone is glad that the strike is finally over but everyone smiles at them.
