Panic at the Disco's 'Pretty. Odd.' falls short
Buzznet's community had plenty to say about Panic at the Disco's Pretty. Odd. when it dropped last week, and on Wednesday came news that the album ascended all the way up the Billboard 200 to ... #2. Despite selling an admirable 139,000 copies this week, it fell short to another one of Diddy's fabulous "Making the Band" creations, Day 26. The male R&B quintet's self-titled debut sold a remarkable 190,000 copies in its first week on sale. Diddy's other creation, Danity Kane, are still going strong with second week sales of Welcome to the Dollhouse securing them a spot at #4. That Diddy is a genius. Buzzbot wishes he were that rich.

Day26
Also, the '90s are apparently on their way back as the Counting Crows' new album, Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings, came in at #3 with sales of over 106,000. Buzzbot was not aware that they are still alive! Buzzbot loves "Mr. Jones." Congratulations are also in order for the rock supergroup The Raconteurs, whose Consolers of the Lonely album sold almost 42,000 copies to slide them into #7 on the charts.

The Raconteurs
One more thing, I almost forgot: Hannah Montana sales are down! Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus sales dropped 67% from last week to knock her out of the top 10, and even out of the top 20. The album now sits at #23. Take that Miley!
Last but not least, WWE put a headlock on the charts, selling 17,400 copies of WWE: The Music, Vol. 8 to land them one spot behind Hannah on the charts.

Panic! supremely schooled Miley Cyrus. Geez, I wish I understood the Hannah Montana craze-thing.
I've never even heard of Day 26, though. But then again, I didn't know who Flo Rida was until last week. I guess I'm pretty behind?
but at least hannah montana finally got knocked off her little sugarpop throne.
I have a question which is the most succesful Making The Band winner? I think the first 2 haven't done anything...
not so much, at least panic's fans that are true to the music are still around.
rock on panic =]
hehehehe.
pshh, miley doesn't stand a chance against panic.
Way to go Panic!
I guess some of you feel disappointed with the product and how different it is.
I'm going to write my own review on the cd by the end of the week.
I know I was disappointed with it, not because the music isn't good....it just doesn't even sound like the same band. I really respect them for scrapping an entire album because their heart wasn't in it, but it doesn' change the fact that I don't plan on buying their records anymore. I guess I can give my copy of pretty. odd. to my grandfather.
