HOW AN ANGEL FEELS FOR LOVE

IN THE DARK

THE ANGEL CRIES

THERE ARE NO STARS

IN THE STORM FILLED SKIES

IT'S SUNNY WHEN SHE'S HAPPY

BUT THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN ANYMORE

YOU SEE HE BROKE HER HEART

AND LEFT THE PIECES BY THE DOOR

HER SISTER IS THERE TO COMFORT HER

SHE STROKES HER SILKY HAIR

"THIS IS NOT RIGHT AT ALL!

IT SIMPLY IS NOT FAIR!"

"HE SAID HE LOVED ME!

HE SAID THAT HE CARED!

...THE MOMENTS WE HAD...THE LOVE THAT WE SHARED..."

HER SISTER SHE WATCHES

AS SHE CRIES HER BLOOD TEARS

SHE WIPES THEM AWAY

AND HOPEFULLY HER FEARS'

December 4, 2006

It has been a helluva weekend...

Saturday:  I was at my sorority sister's house for another meeting/information run.  What's worse about this week is that it's a ritual known as "Hell Week."  I don't know what will happen, but it's gonna be scary!  I'm scared that some of my sisters won't make it out alive.  One of my on-line sisters got into trouble on Saturday night.  Now, it's no game...what am I talking about?  I never even considered this a game from day one.  This week will be very, very busy.  More details about that later.  By around 6:30, I was dropped off at my grandmother's.  Then, my family finally left for Country Club Hills at 7:15.  We were at our Aunt Robin's for dinner.  It was terrific!  I haven't seen her in ages!

Sunday:  My grandmother and I headed for church.  As for me, I was in Sunday school for about thirty minutes, then left afterwards.  That's when I finally started my adventure on West Chicago Avenue.  Found the first bus going to Jackson.  Then, after about 10 minutes on Jackson, I took the 151 to Grand Avenue.  After that, I went about 3 1/2 blocks to the subway on Grand and State.  Then, I took the first route 66 bus to Sangamon, where the Chicago Academy for the Arts was located about a block and a half away.  Luckily, by 11:15 a.m., there were only just 20 to 30 people there.  Weird, isn't it?  The open call for the Vince Vaughn movie, Fred Claus, started at 9 a.m.  I was just glad to be there at all.  Before the director, Jean Philo, let us enter the building to explain the regulations, everyone at the open call had to have a recent photo and fill the registration form.  It didn't last long, thank God.  I should get a call from the production crew soon. Before I made it to the open call, I silently kept telling the big guy in the sky (God) to forgive me for leaving church (like, a million billion times!).  Then, I finally came back to church, and told my grandmother about this opportunity.  She asked me why I left the church and said she was looking everywhere for me.  Before I close out this entry, here's a sad note: my friend Jessica was in the hospital the other day.  She had a tumor inside her brain since she was fifteen.  Even at this very point, I cannot stop thinking about her.  I am worried for her life.  But the doctors at Rush started running tests on her.  Just hope she makes it.

The Diva is signing off.  I might not do any more entries for the rest of this week.  Ciao!

Couldn't get better than this...

Well, everyone...now that Thanksgiving is drawing near, it's about that time to be thankful for what we all have.  I have so much to be thankful for this year: my family, my sorority sisters; speaking of which, my pinning ceremony is later on this afternoon and I have to miss English 102 for this.  But in this case, I might as well make the sacrifice.

As for writing anymore songs at this point, I'll be writing a couple of holiday songs.  I'll post them up for everyone before winter break starts.  Other than that, I won't be posting new material for about another week and a half.  I have had too much on my mind lately.  If I should say this now, my buddy from high school, Clara, is transferring to Northern Illinois University (in DeKalb) before the spring semester.  I can safely say that I'll miss her so much!  We went through almost everything together along with the rest of my girls, but it's not a total loss.  I'll hold back these tears for now.

But at least I'm gaining friends at this moment, my sorority sisters.  One of them has drafted to the army and she'll be transferring to Germany in January.  There's a way to brighten the new year...lol.  Seriously, though, I've only known those girls since September, and already a couple of them don't feel like they can deal with being on line and going to these meetings.

As for my family, despite all the bickering and sudden losses, we're trying to bond with each other no matter what.

As for me, starting January 1, 2007, I'm going veggie (for good).  Besides, I'm an animal lover; always have been.  I dealt with going vegetarian for a week when I was about fourteen.  It was a hassle, but I'm willing to go that route again for my sake (as well as the animals).

Anyway, I'm gonna enjoy the last of that turkey before I deal with sticking to my New Year's resolution.  The diva is signing off.  Much love to everyone, and have a Happy Turkey Day!
