I complete my mini-tour of Vegas with this contradiction in imagery... the classic sign, the icons of entertainment invoked... the golden arches at bottom center, indicating that even in that special part of LV where the old days might live for a night, the mediocrity of the 21st century intrudes.

	contraryguy: 09/14/2009 8:13 PM yeah the Plaza and Main Street Station are at one end of the Fremont Street area... old Vegas to be sure. I stayed down there this time, because I hadn't been downtown at night before... it's a trip, but I will stay somewhere on the Strip next time. And not in summer, either!
