Tell me where it hurts...

I just came back from the doctors today. The doctor was really nice, and understanding. The past few doctors I've had, where all mean, bitter people, but she was amazingly nice. It didn't take very long for her to examine me, and after a few short minutes talking to me, she decided to put me on a pill for treatment. She said she also wanted to be careful and rule out other possibilities..and suggested I have blood work done. I mean, I've had blood drawn before, but not like this. I am DEATHLY afraid of needles. So when she left me in the Blood Lab, immediately my palms started to sweat. I started rocking my body back and forth, and squirming in my chair. My eyes started to water, and I started aggressively rubbing my thighs. Then, the nurse walked in. She looked to be about 58 to 60 years old, and had a bad case of shaking. She accidentally ripped my patient folder, and proceeded to staple it back together. Her hands shook as she held the stapler and stapled it completely in the wrong place. When I saw this, I started to become even more tense. Then she took out a large purple vile with my name on it. She opened the cap to reveal a large shiny needle, and that was it. I started to fall over. She then stuffed some smelling salts up my nose so I wouldn't faint, and jammed the needle into my flesh. I don't remember exactly what happened, but I awoke a few minutes later in the same spot. The doctor asked if I was alright, and I replied "Yes..I'm fine", and walked out of the office.

ahhhh I had to have blood drawn once to check if I was anemic, and I'm pretty terrified of needles too. The doctor came in, and when he put the needl in my arm he missed the vein and had to dig around in my arm for it. I was sobbing... :[ it sucked.

they held me in urgent care for 6 HOURS last week. they'd come in, take an ekg, leave me for an hour, come in and take me to another room and not tell me what they were doing and take x-rays, then they'd leave me in my room for an hour, then they came and took blood (also TERRIFIED of needles and they gave me the worst vein finder in the whole fucking hospital) and then left me for an hour and a half(STILL not telling my what and why they're doing all this), had the most condescending doctor EVER, and came in and checked my vitals a bunch of times by a lady who didn't even know how to work the equipment. UGH. it was a NIGHTMARE. it was ridiculous. i totally sympathize with you, doctor visits SUCK.

omg, you had it pretty bad then..yeah doctors visits do suck

omg! that must have sucked! the worst i had wasn't really the doctor more me...i had a really bad sickness like it was more than one thing. one of the things was namounia(sorry i suck at spelling) and i had to lay on a gerny for like 2 hours in a horbile pain trying to sleep which i failed cause there were bright lights on me...and then the nurse finally came in with a blanket then left for another hour came back gave me medince then we had to wait in the waiting room for a half and hour for a perscription and then we left...this started at 2 in the mourning and i was 9 i missed two weeks of school and this wasn't even my normal doctor! it was the emergency room! not to metion i missed me b-day then i was sick...that was the worst day of my life...

oh my word! thats terrible..i've had Pneumonia before..but never like that..at least your better now :)

yea... i hope i never get it again! but i might have to have my apendics taken out not any time soon though don't worry!
