shopping Blog and Journals

My little nephew turns 1 this week and we were going to have a birthday party tonight, but it got postponed because his older sister came down with a stomach flu.  Good news for me because I needed a little extra time to go shopping for him.  Now that he's one, I have to get him a gift that he'll actually like.  When he was born, we gave them some great aden and anais swaddling blankets, which his mom has simply raved about.  She wasn't sure about them at first, but said he slept a solid 6-7 hours after she used them.  So, with the blankets out of the picture, I'm thinking toys.  I'm not quite sure he's old enough for Ben 10 toys like his older brother.  Those are still a few years off, that is if Heatblast and the rest of the Alien Force are still around by then.  Instead, I think he'd really like some Thomas the Train toys.  His mom says he lights up when this show comes on.  So, this could be a real winner.  These kids are growing up so fast!  It seems like there are kids all around me.  All of our friends either just had a baby or are pregnant.  We're hoping to get their soon!  When we do, we'll be relying heavily on those around us and other resources.
