Every year the beautiful landscape of canadas coast turns blood red, hundreds of thousands of baby seals have been bludgeoned to death. EVERY YEAR hunters kill HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS defensless baby  seals, some of which are too young to even swim. all this is done in the name of warmth, just for their fur. Wool, cotton and thousands of other cloths could be used to keep people warm, at a lesser cost. if seals could speak, what would they say, what would they say as they are visciously attacked and murdered. what would you say if this happened to you.

CHAPTER NINE

Kat spun around on her heels. "Give me one good reason why I should listen to you," she whispered in a dangerous tone. Matt gulped and shuddered. "Because you need to hear what really happened," he said, barely audible. "Oh, then enlighten me!" Kat cried, throwing her hands in the air. "Okay..." Matt uttered nervously. He began the story...

"Well, me an' Ink were waiting for you to finish getting ready to go to a movie and you were taking awhile. We were only watching TV and then before I know it she's making out with me. I think she said "I really like you" because I knew a lot about Shakespeare and things she was talking about. I am serious, she was all over me...I never wanted to..." he said, looking at his feet. "And tell me again why I should believe this?" Kat said impatiently. "Because you should believe someone you love truly, Katherine. It's a thing that's natural!" he cried, flustered beyond words.

"Well what if our love was only lust, Matthew? I know you flirt with other girls. I see the infidelity everyday! I know you enjoy those kisses, and I know you lie to me. So how's about we just do this?" Kat snarled. She kissed him roughly, and Matt immeadiatly pulled her to him. He was obviously enjoying the kiss, even if the sparks were empty to Kat. She pulled away after some time and sighed. Matt searched her eyes desperatly and found himself hoping he'd find some trace of passion in Kat's now gray-ish eyes. She was upset.

"Why did you kiss me?" Matt said in a small voice. "Because I wanted to seal this with a kiss," Kat breathed simply.

I hate those stars who are protesting the seal hunt because they think the seals are cute and that it's wrong to kill animals.
 He[McCartney]  said, "They are beautiful." He said, "And then the next thing they'll do is they'll say that the seal hunt is cruel." He said "And it is cruel." So, by this own man's admission he said "But we've been doing it 500 years." We believe that 500 years is no justification for cruelty.

It’s a way of life for Inuit people and yes, there are Halifax hunters who do hunt the seals. However, as long as the government puts restrictions on those hunters there is no problem. Why don’t the other stars follow Bono in aid to Africa? That’s a much better cause then the seal hunt. Moreover, if the seals are not hunted their population will grow out of control because of the decline in polar bears in the past 10 years.
