Were you merching for Saves the Day?
I wish... that was one of the tours I tried to get but didn't. I was working for shirts for a cure all weekend (same non-profit I did warped 07 for). manny is a really close friend of mine and woke up early to hang out with me while I set up on sunday morning. he also made me sandwiches for dinner that night, great dude.

he is indeed :)

Shirts For A Cure is a non-profit that my friend started when he lost his wife to breast cancer. the actual organization is called Syrentha Savio Endowment (SSE) named after his wife, but Shirts For A Cure is the part of it that bands get involved with. all of the t-shirt designs donated are exclusive to SFAC and all the proceeds go to clinics who are helping underprivileged women receive breast cancer treatment which would otherwise be too expensive for them to afford. you can learn more about it at shirtsforacure.com or syrentha.org.

OMG that's amazing! I'm so down with that - in my hometown I work for our local breast cancer support group raising funds.

that's awesome! I learned so much this summer working for the group and learning about non-profits, and it's amazing how much work beemer (my boss) puts into SSE. he's basically running the whole thing on his own, which means that after expenses the money he raises doesn't have to get filtered through a whole hierarchy of people at the organization, it goes right to the clinics. it's a really really great thing that he's doing, and it's amazing when bands show their support. my chem, for example, shouted us out at the end of the night and we probably sold at least another $1000 in shirts because of it (not to mention they have SEVEN designs with SFAC).

It's great when bands use their power of influence to help out such a worthy cause! I'll have to check out the website and look at the designs. For all the shit My Chem get put on them, they must be good guys at heart!
And Beemer sounds like an angel sent from heaven :)
