We've got them up here in the far north end of the state as well. Of course, this is typical for summer time up here. Every year we're surrounded by fires.

p.s. it is 81 degrees in our Santa Rosa kitchen right now, We don't have air conditioning because we really don't need it most of the time.

That is so sad to have those fires again.......I hope that rain comes but not too much too quick !!!!

this was from a smaller fire in santa paula the other day - about ten miles away - and made it kinda scenic on the way home, but there's a much larger one near santa barbara right now, and the air is terrible as a result.

yeah, they told me i didn't need air conditioning up there because of "the cool ocean breeze" ???!!! i made sure my place was shaded by three large redwoods.

I bet your bummed. I recently skimmed through an article that said that some of the fires may have been started in Mexican controlled cannabis plantations. So now I have visions of people getting stoned off the smoke.
