John and I spent two hours this afternoon, during the rain outside, trying to get the modem to talk to the router. No success. I had tried, Slava had tried, now John has tried and it won't work. We were trying to get a wireless network so Antonio next door could share my broadband link, but it seems the router is too old, or incompatible with the modem. So if he wants to do it he will have to fork out £50 on a wireless connection point. On top of the USB key he needs anyway. I will tell him that, tomorrow. Caroline slept through the whole thing, quite wisely. We sit on the big blue ball when using the computer.
