The Rocky Mountain region is one of the most beautiful places
that I have visited!!
The mountains are compared to the European Alps,
and the Andes in S. America.
Famous parks include:
Yellowstone, Glacier National, Grand Canyon, Yosemite,
Rocky Mountains National, Mt. Rushmore and others.
Hiking on a trail can lead to amazing views
of tall mountains, valleys, nature and wildlife.
I have hiked trails over 10,000 feet / 3,100 meters high.
The hike can be several hours long each way.
But the beautiful views are worth the trip!

Bom dia para todos.
Hiking on the trail I saw coyotes,
and tracks of bears, mountain lions and other wild animals.
But the biggest danger is bad Weather.
(Snow, rain, cold + wind.)
The weather can change from warm and sunny (80s)
to cold and windy (30s F/ 0 C).
Trails branch in different directions, and visibility can be blocked by clouds.
Experienced outdoorsmen know to carry a jacket and compass.
Hopefully you won't need them, but "be prepared".

*Cell phones are NOT reliable in remote areas, or bad weather.
(rain, snow)
Outdoor Guides have dozens of stories about Tourists
and their cell phones.
Also hiking on a mountain trail is different
from working out in an air-conditioned gym.
When the weather is good, the beautiful views are worth the hike!
