Lita Ford Gets in the Spirit with Alice Cooper and MORE Interviews!

LITA FORD GETS IN THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT WITH ALICE COOPER
Queen of Metal To Perform at 9th Annual Christmas Pudding Concert Dec. 18

How does the Queen of Metal wind down an especially busy year that brought out her first new release in 14 years, Wicked Wonderland, a comic book based on her rock and roll family, great numbers at CMJ and FMQB, and a successful tour with Queensryche?

She dives into some Christmas Pudding next, that's what. Lita is confirmed to perform at the original shock rocker Alice Cooper's 9th Annual Christmas Pudding concert on Dec. 18 at Dodge Theater in Phoenix , Arizona . Also on the bill are Cooper himself, along with Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers, Twisted Sister's Dee Snider, American Idol contestant and valley native Scott MacIntyre, Gary Mule Deer, Runaway Phoenix, TV personality Brad Perry's aptly titled band the Brad Perry Band, and River of Life Choir.

The Christmas-themed variety show is expected to lure 3,500 fans, and will include performances from the winners of this year’s "Proof Is In The Pudding contest," which was Cooper’s version of American Idol.

"I'm so excited to play with Alice at his wonderful Christmas Pudding event," says Lita. "I'm hoping we get to sing 'Only Women Bleed' together. Welcome to My Nightmare is still the best show I've ever seen and I'm a huge fan, so this is quite an honor."

Tickets are priced at $38, $48, and $203 for VIP Seating, which includes a seat at one of the cabaret styled tables in front of the stage, an artist attended pre-show reception, and a pre-show dinner. Fans can also buy four reserved seats for the price of $100. In the spirit of giving, all proceeds from the event benefit Solid Rock, whose mission is to make an everlasting difference in the lives of children and throughout our community. Tickets are available at www.LiveNation.com.

To cap off a stellar year, Lita and her brood plan to lay low at home for the holidays. "After touring all over the world this year it will be nice just to stay home and watch the kids open their presents," adds Lita.

Song of the Day - Band of Skulls "Friends"

**11/30/09
Band of Skulls - Friends
-------------Band of Skulls must have a friend who's been secretly sending their music to record labels and vampire authors. The British rock trio were suprised the movie's music supervisors even knew who they were. Nonetheless, the slow-bopping tambourine tapper "Friends" pledges allegiance to bar hopping and weekend devotions to best pals with more commercial appeal than the band may have expected.

They played up Thanksgiving at The Neighborhood Theater, a hometown venue in Charlotte, NC, and if my tummy wasn't so obese with greenbean casserole and stuffing, I'd have seen them. Get "Friends" from the New Moon soundtrack (sorry...I wish it was on another album). But if you want to hear more Band of Skulls, check out "Death By Diamonds and Pearls" and "I Know What I Am" from their debut album Baby Darling Doll Face Honey.

THE LITTLE DRUMMER BOY

This year has been a great long and winding road and I am so grateful that all of you have been passengers with me.  I really can't thank you enough for all the love, encouragement, and support you have given me.

I just recorded a version of The Little Drummer Boy and am making it available on PAY WHAT YOU WANT download for the next five days at http://lukasrossionline.com/news .  I hope you like listening to it as much as I loved singing it and making the recording for all of you.

May you all enjoy the blessings and beautiful things in life.  I love you all!

Ville on Rock Sound Online

HIM frontman Ville Valo has told Rock Sound how much effort was put into the creation of the band's new album 'Screamworks: Love in Theory and Practice':

"I’ve just been working, no time in pubs honest," he said recently. "I've had no time to do anything besides this album. I’m not shitting you because I was on a personal mission to find out how much energy you can put into an album before you break. I didn’t break, but I was on the verge of it more than once. It was important to really live with the ideas rather than just going with the flow as we have in the past. The result is, I hope, something that will shake peoples’ asses."

Busy behind The scenes

You may or may not be glad to know there are no rants or soap boxes involved in this blog! (only joking Tom). I'm now a year older than when I last blogged and it's been a good couple of weeks. As you know we've been busy working on some new material (and playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox) which is starting to take shape nicely, so we will have some new songs very soon!!!
