The Michigan trip is a little under two weeks away. How exciting! My friends and I are trying to find the trashiest & most entertaining restaurants to eat at. I'll be sure to post some videos! Cracker Barrel is a must. How can you resist the gift shop? Sonic, because they're got some of the best food, and are hard to come by unless you live in the south east. Fudruckers, solely because of this photo. I I need to meet this man. What are some of your favorite restaurants? Some of the worst or trashiest you've ever experienced?

The French food is famous all over the world and has a rich history of fine cuisine that is taken very seriously, with Paris restaurants serving some of the finest food in the world.
Also, with thousands of different Paris restaurants like well known bistros to cafes or top table restaurants serving haute cuisine, you will not be disappointed with the quality of food, no matter how big or small your budget is.
But, choosing a restaurant in Paris can literally give you a real headache, as you will be spoilt for choice, then on the other hand it’s the kind of problem that is nice to deal with, as there is something to suit everyone’s palate, so why not try something a little different, like Japanese food in France, or you could opt for numerous other International varieties of cuisine from Mexican, American, Turkish, Italian, Brazilian like the very popular Brasil Tropical that also has a cabaret show, Spanish, Indian, and many more to excite those taste buds.
Now, of course the finest way of eating in Paris is at a top table restaurant that serves haute cuisine, but I would say that you will need a healthy bank balance for this, as this type of meal has elaborate preparations and presentations, which is reflected within the price, with many costing over 200 or 500 euros per person.
But do not worry too much, most Paris restaurants have a Menu du Jour, that normally means you can order a reasonably priced meal from a set menu, with the food prepared from the freshest produce that is available locally.
However, if you are looking at having breakfast out is more than likely to be at a Patisserie or cafes in Paris, where you can get croissants, bread, numerous varieties of cheese and cold meats, plus pastries that are usually accompanied by a cup of strong black coffee, but if you prefer white coffee, then just ask for cafe au lait.
Also, one quick point, whilst you are experiencing this fabulous city of Paris and its food, you will come across numerous different cafes and bistros in Paris that have indoor and outdoor dining, but if you do decide to eat outside on the terrace, there is often an additional charge added to your bill.
Do also please remember that most of the shops in France close for at least two hours at lunch time, which is when most of the French have their main meal, and today there are now lots of restaurants providing a Brunch type service, so it is a great time to re-fuel before continuing your sightseeing of the Paris landmarks.
But if you do need to have a snack in the afternoon prior to an evening meal, the best option is to go to a Brasserie as they are usually open all day and serve the same food, whatever the time.
Another great passion in France is having a glass of French wine, especially with a meal, in fact it is like a French tradition and is almost expected in most restaurants, and when you are served a normal table wine in France do not think that this is a cheap and hopefully cheerful option, as most of the table wines served are very good quality, but you if you wanted you can often purchase a more reasonably priced wine or even one of the a more expensive wines available.
But thinking about this, normally the wine is paired with your meal, so when dining at a good quality restaurant, it is customary to order a different wine to accompany each different dish served, to enhance the cuisine and not take away from any of its exquisite tastes.
With so many different Paris restaurants, which one is for you? You could try something a little different like the Musee du Vin, which is a wine museum, so you can learn about wine making and its history, plus of course do some wine tasting at the same time, then you can even enjoy a fabulous meal along with the wine.
Still not sure about where to go for your next evening eating out in Paris, then why not pick up the free restaurant guide called Le Carnet Gourmand, which lists around 200 restaurants in Paris, who are registered with the Tourism office,
One last point we would like to make, the Parisians tend to dress up for an evening meal and many restaurants require a jacket or even dinner attire, so do always check what the dress code is when booking, or you may be refused entry!

This came up at random on my forum, so I figured I'd make a little post about it. I grew up in New York. We, arguably, have the best delis on the planet. An argument could probably be made about the nouveau delis that are emerging nationwide, but I find the experience of eating at an authentic jewish style ny deli to be one of the most unique culinary experiences you can have while not breaking the bank. The hallmarks of this style of deli are high quality meats and cheeses on enormous sandwiches. for a decently low price. To be sure the deli you're at is authentic, here are a few things to look for. -Halva It's a type of mediterranean candy that's usually vaguely hard to find outside of traditional delis and the occasional grocery store. Rather tasty, and with a totally unique texture. -Nova Lox Screw smoked salmon. I know that's technically what it is, but a real deli will call it by it's traditional name. A bagel with lox and cream cheese is a new york classic, and a deli that calls it what it is will most likely make it better than other places. Nova, in particular, is higher quality than most of the traditional smoked salmon you can find at lower quality delis. Bonus points if they cut their own. -Reubens/Rachels A real classic deli will pride themselves on this sandwich. Either corned beef or pastrami, swiss cheese, thousand island dressing, and either sauerkraut (reuben) or cole slaw (rachel) on rye bread. The whole is greater than the sum of it's parts, and a real quality deli will make this sandwich better than anywhere else, and brag about it. I'm a firm believer that every style of food has a hallmark that you can use to guage the quality of the rest of the food. chinese have their dumplings, indian has it's curry, italian has it's marinara. You can always trust that if these are done well, the rest of the food will be as well. -Sassy Counter Help (You try finding a picture of someone acting sassy behind a counter. I'm lazy, sue me.)
I don't know what it is, but I find if the people behind the counter are sassy and not afraid to mess with the customers, the food as a rule is usually better. Especially for this type of deli, there's a certain type of attitude that you expect from the people behind the bar. Part of the full experience of a ny style deli is going in, being confused as hell about what to order, and giving/getting a decent ribbing from the people behind the counter. Sassy staff builds a stronger rapport, in my opinion, and if the staff isn't afraid to mess with the customers it brings the feel of the ny deli to life. -Tongue Bear with me on this. You don't have to eat it, but a good deli *always* offers grilled beef tongue. It's a hallmark of the genre of cuisine. I've personally never eaten it, but I've never eaten at a deli that carried it and not thoroughly enjoyed the food. That's basically it. If you find a deli that contains most of these traits, chances are you're at a pretty good deli. If you manage to luck into finding all of them, frequent the hell out of that place. The classic deli is starting to be replaced by some of the more modernized nouveau delis, and while they are a decent experience at times, the traditional deli is a slice of americana that's in real danger of going extinct.

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - The Heart Attack Grill — a theme restaurant whose
specialties include the Quadruple Bypass Burger and Flatliner Fries,
cooked in pure lard — is making health-care professionals' blood
pressure rise, and not because of the menu.. It is because of the waitresses' naughty nurse uniforms...... [the story continues] I dunno, personally, I'm most interested in being pushed out to my car in a wheelchair
after finishing my meal. This "service" is offered to their "best
patients". These "patients" are those who order and finish off a
Triple or Quadruple Bypass Burger. To me the triple bypass burger looks
obscenely big,. The Quadruple is simply unthinkable. I'm not sure if
I'd be up to the challenge of the Triple, let alone the Quadruiple.. So I guess I'll have to forgo the wheelchair and just get a double bypass. Fortunately that will be easy. The Heart Attack Grill's one and only Location is just under 19 miles from me. I'll have to check it out soon. It had somehow escaped my newshound mom's radar as well as mine (till now that is). The burgers and fries sound awwesome. I've never found the food at Hooters to be anything special. And the "nurse" theme at The Heart Attack Grill is much more clever than the Hooters Girls.
