I don't really even like REM and when I hear this song it makes me depressed. Most of those other songs may be depressive or in diminshed chords, but don't make me want to kill myself, Everybody Hurts does...this song is really depressing...

What about "Something In The Way" by Nirvana? Maybe "Scar Tissue" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers..."Eleanor Rigby" - The Beatles, "Everlong" - Foo Fighters, some Cure songs...There's a lot, it's hard to choose.
