What do you think about true love and reality tv? Would you go on a show to win your dream dates heart?

After watching A Shot Of Love With Tila Tequila with my friends and seeing what disgusting and embarrassing things the contestants had to do to 'win' Tila's love, we were talking about going on a TV reality show to find 'true love'. Most of them thought that finding true love from a person you have never met before on a filmed TV show was silly and impossible. And the contestants saying they were in love with Tila was ridiculous. To me they seemed pretty dedicated to her (eating that gross meat, really guys? Is she worth it?). You might find what they are doing stupid but what if you were in that position? What if William Beckett or Pete Wentz or YOUR dream guy/girl (celeb or not) that you idolized and had a major crush on was running a TV show where you had to fight for their love and the right to be the last one standing by their side at the end of the game? Can you find true love on a reality show? And would you go out for it if the person running it was your idol or dream date? Remember this is your DREAM date and you have 'a shot at love' with them.

Sure, the odds may not be in your favor... but if you hadn't gone on the show you might not have met them in the first place or have received the opportunity for a chance at a romantic relationship.

	hrcornett46992: 11/24/2007 8:20 PM If you don't like the show, don't watch it. The producers write that shit in the script! It's reality but in a sense it's not. Obviously the people who already are in love in the house.. hell it may be all for show..but ya never know. I guess you're not in the house sharing those connections so you'll never know. If you don't like it so much.. why are you in the group anyways? LOL. It's a chance of a lifetime, I mean how many times do you get to go meet new people and experience something that's not exactly normal. You may never get a chance like that again, and you never know maybe something could come out of it in the end. If not, obviously you're eliminated. It may be gross, but it gets the show ratings. I can say that particular scene isn't why I watch it! I like Tila alot and I think she's still figuring out herself, but there's other things that I love to watch weekly on this show! SO.....like I said, don't like, don't watch!

And to be on a show where that person deliberately placed me in those demeaning situations? FUCK THAT! I'd have no respect or interest in that person left at all. (see above about having actual self-respect etc). You want to do something like that and have fun with it, I can see that, but to actually think you might magically find love with some celebrity by debasing yourself in front of them? Or even, is that really how you want that person meeting you/getting an impression of you?

	kuuipo29: 01/25/2008 1:00 AM It's funny, as what i've learned in the stuff i've gone thru.. you'll find the greatest things u can find at the most unexpected places. And who's to say that a tv show isn't one of those place. I say whatever floats your boat. As long as you know what you're getting yourself into and you still want to do it then more power to you. I wouldn't say No to it. haha Anything is possible.
