Rock the Bells Info Firms Up as Fans Await A Tribe Called Quest, Pharcyde Reunions
Guerilla Union's summer tour,
Rock the Bells, is kind of like rap's answer to
Warped Tour ... but with a better lineup! Well, this year anyway. Put simply, the lineup is freaking awesome.

Tickets for the Los Angeles and Denver stops went on sale Monday morning
right here. The tour kicks off in Chicago on July 19 (at
First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre, it was just announced); and ends in Vancouver, British Columbia, on August 30.
Such greats as
Nas and
Mos Def are joined by newer acts including
Wale,
Jay Electronica,
Kidz in the Hall,
Murs and
B.O.B. But the biggest news is the reunion of two of the best-loved acts in the genre:
The Pharcyde and
A Tribe Called Quest. The two will be throwing down at every stop of the tour along with hosts
Scratch,
B-Real and
Supernatural of
Cypress Hill.
Other prominent acts, such as
Rakim,
De La Soul,
Kid Sister,
Spank Rock,
Method Man and
Redman, Flosstradamus,
Immortal Technique,
Ghostface and
Raekwon, will be making appearances throughout the tour. More acts will be announced, which blows the mind as one imagines who could possibly make the tour any better.
All in favor of Rock the Bells, please say EFF YES!
The original Rock the Bells took place in July 2004 at the Nos Event Center in San Bernardino, California. Performers that year included
Wu-Tang Clan, Redman,
Sage Francis and more.
