They could have been a contender...
MTV is indulging the nostalgia trend! Which of these throwbacks do YOU think most deserve the Moonman that previously eluded them?
Some may say it's an odd coupling: Radiohead and Jack Johnson are headlining All Points West in early August in New York. While Radiohead are set to play both nights of the music festival, Johnson will close out the second night with the final performance.

As illegal downloading persists and CD sales continue to drop, record labels are kicking employees to the curb left and right. EMI is going to cut 2,000 employees from the team and will combine the marketing, sales and distribution departments into one. This has pissed off both The Verve and Robbie Williams who are threatening to hold their new albums hostage until the label can prove it's fully prepared to work their records. Both Radiohead and Paul McCartney left EMI last year because of the label's lack of structure. With labels continuing to go under -- would you still want to work in the music industry?
A lot of people leave comments about the bands they either hate or love. Some bands are spared more than others. Maybe it's because they have more fans to back them up. Maybe it's because not enough people know about them. Maybe they're to good to be hated on. Maybe they're just ultra-likable. Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough or in the right places to find their hidden hate-clubs. Whatever it is, these bands appear to get less hate from bloggers than most. Who's got the power to keep the haters away?
