A "concerned parent" noticed a lot of drinking in the latest Harry Potter movie. I can't really remember Neville serving drinks, but it must've been at the Slug Club Christmas Party. He could have been serving grape juice or ginger ale.
Personally, I think this woman is exaggerating. "Scene after scene" is more like three bit parts where Hermione is tipsy, until Katie Bell is cursed by the necklace, and then becomes dead sober in a matter of two seconds. Also, children could definitely overlook any drinking when the wizarding world is at war, and our three heroes are falling in love.
I'll leave the ultimate decision up to you: Is the drinking in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince going to affect younger generations?
A week ago, Baby Wentzlee Watch was in full swing. False alarm.
However, a little birdy told Queen Bree that Momma Ash is now in the hospital. RESUME WENTZLEE BABY WATCH!
Will it come out this time?
An upcoming TV Movie for the Disney Channel, "Camp Rock" is about a girl named Mitchie Torres who has a strong drive to be a pop singer. She discovers an opportunity for a prestigious music camp, but her family does not have enough money.
Her mother gets a job at the camp as the cook, and Mitchie can attend the camp, as long as she helps out with kitchen duties. So Mitchie leads a double life as camper in the popular clique at the camp, and the cook's daughter.
She is then found out, and put on probation from camp activities.
One of the camp leaders, celebrity and lead singer of Connect Three, Shane Gray (played by Joe Jonas) overhears Mitchie singing, but does not see her, he falls in love with the voice and sets out to find the girl behind the beautiful voice.
Meanwhile, Mitchie must learn to confront her fears and shine in the spotlight as her true self.
I see two similar plotlines here:
In Hilary Duff's "Raise Your Voice", Hilary Duff stars as Terri Fletcher, a small-town girl with a powerful voice and drive to be a pop star. She badly wants to attend a prestigious music camp program, and recieves a scholarship to the camp, but somehow escapes to the camp despite her father's wishes. There she finds true love in a brooding British musician, and her true self.
However, a handsome "prince/celebrity" falls in love with an ordinary girl, and sets out to find her. Sounds like the classic Cinderella, eh?
So tell me, which do you think "Camp Rock" is more eerily similar to?
The classic Cinderella?
or
"Raise Your Voice"?
Only you decide, so vote!
P.S. If you are a fan of the Jonas Brothers and find this offensive, I'm sorry, but you are not making your point by calling me names, and if they do cross the line, I am not afraid to report you.
According to JustJared, Rachel Bilson, celebrity style icon, is coming out with a fashion line with DKNY, entitled Edie Rose for DKNY.
Named after her grandmother and a close family friend, the line is mostly black and white pieces, with tad of yellow here and there. Yet, there is no pictures of the line yet.
But, unfortunately, Hills tart Heidi Montag has launched a fashion line, too. (She also managed to diss Lauren while doing so, but that's another story.)
Montag claims her line is "fun and flirty for the everyday woman", and titled, what else, Heidiwood.
Pictures of the line were taken by her #1 outlet for Speidi news, US Weekly.
In my opinion, the clothes are cute, but they aren't anything special. I've seen them everywhere else.
Point is, whose line would you rather wear?
Granted, Rachel's is a tad spendy, considering it's only available at Macy's and Nordstrom, while Heidi's line is...well, it's Heidi.
Whose would you wear?
Since the "Battle of the Baby-Blues" polls and etc. are extremely popular, I though I'd give you a battle of four different Becks:
David Beckham
William Beckett
Beck
Lord Cutler Beckett (Pirates of the Carribbean)
Which Beck pwns?
So, the trailer for The Hills came out.
And it seems there is more drama this season than a Lifetime movie.
Brody gets a girlfriend.
Lauren goes on a date with a French guy.
Whitney quits Teen Vogue.
Heidi and Spencer are having relationshpi troubles (big shocker there.)
Stephanie and Lauren become friends.
Spencer treats his sister like sh*t over her new friend.
Audrina goes out for a drink with Justin Bobby (have you no intelligence Audrina?)
And Heidi and Audrina become friends again. And Lauren is PISSED.
With all this drama going on, what drama are you most excited to see?
I love all of the Cinema Bizarre song and so far three have accompanying videos, but which one should get a video next? I can just picture the videos for some and I'd like to see them. Like Get Off. Imagine how sexy that would be! Or what about She Waits For Me? Tell me guys
When you were younger you probably didn't choose a cereal based on it's nutritional value. It was likely the cartoon character on the cereal box that won you over. We grew up with them and they hold a special place in our hearts and kitchen cabinets. Take a gander at these cereal box legends and vote on your favorite. Don't forget to look inside for the prize.
