sony playstation concert series

Third Eye Blind, Creed and Chickenfoot just released exclusive video content from 3 concerts they did this year. (No, not together) Pretty rad HD shoots for each event and now you can own them forever or just stream them from the comfort of your own bedroom.

Sounds snazzy, huh? Well unfortunately you can only access the music series through the PlayStation Network using a PS3 or PSP. The series is waiting for you in the PlayStation Store under ‘Featured Collections’. What else? It won’t break your piggy bank! Renting the concerts directly to your PlayStation is about the same price as a pay-per-view or on demand movie, $3.99 for standard definition and $5.99 for HD.

Each year London International Animation Festival 2009 focuses on a specific animation technique. So in 2009 they take a close up look at sand animation. This involves an animator placing and moving coloured sand, salt and other powders on a light box and using hand brushes, air brushes and an array of other tools to create thousands of textured pictures that make up the finished film. To showcase this technique, they put together a programme, running August 28 through September 6, which mixes recently released sand animations carefully blended with a collection of classics from the last 25 years.

A Thought....

(Yes I have read about many monkey attacks in several news articles and since I'm just such a big fan of the Ape Escape series, I decided to write a fictional piece using the real world attacks and the fantasy of the Ape Escape games in which monkeys try to take over the world, led by their leader Specter. If your interested in the Ape Escape games, which are indeed very cute and fun to play, then there is a ton of information to be found online about the adorable series. This piece of writing may make more sense to you if you look up the game and Specter first. :D)

“I see you down there,” Specter says to himself as his only revealed crimson orb fixates on the telescope’s lens, a deep chuckle rumbles up through his throat and finally he cannot hold it in any longer, his lips part and it turns into a bellowing cackle which seems to echo through space. Yes, it is cold up there on the Moon, but soon he will know the inviting warmth of his home planet once more, and we, the humans who are vermin to him, won’t be there to ruin his perfect paradise. Apes will stand there in front of our cages when crowds of them rush in to catch the first glimpses of us on that first day of their reign, yes, they shall stand there and mock us as we have mocked them in their troubled past. Imagine him as he sits up there on his royal throne, his minions pampering him and obeying his every command, and while they are busying themselves with carrying out his orders he only thinks of one thing, the day when man will bow to him. Who knows what master plan he is hatching now?

How long before the monkeys invade? Is the true ape king fact or fiction? Is he really just a video-game antagonist? Can we really be sure that he hasn’t been the brains behind the Ape Escape series? Maybe it was created under his orders, maybe he is tricking us into falling in love with him and his cuteness through his character in the game, a perfect copy of his true self in digital form.

Is this his way of trying to ensure that we will have no choice but to respect and honor him when he takes over our planet? Has anyone else thought this through? Who knows? Mankind is learning of new existences all the time. Why do monkeys attack our kind so much? Is it some sort of instinct or are they being told what to do?

It Doesn't Take a Genius = Playstation 3 is delayed

I've heard some well meaning people comparing the xbox-360 to the yet to be released Playstation 3.  One of the exciting things about being a video-gamer is the excitement over the next greatest thing, A.K.A........ Vaporware.  In the world of video-games we all look forward to the Ghost of Christmas Future.

A few months ago, I wrote a journal entitled "The War of the Worlds" and the battle for the living room. The company who places an entertainment box that can play games and DVDs and merge the world of computer and television will be the king of all media.....no offense to Howard Stern.

I did get my hands on one of the 360s, in fact two of them..thanks to friends at Circuit City and Best Buy.  I finally convinced my windows media PC to talk with my 360. The "streaming conversation" allows me to play music, radio shows, show videos and pictures stored on my computer on my television. The 360 acts as an extension of the computer and works very nicely. My television is a Sony, the computer is a Sony and the xbox 360 is a Microsoft creation.

I like to think of the xbox as the Enabler or the conduit that can do it!

Many are writing the death of the XBOX 360 because the PlayStation 3 has more power and features. Some were expecting the Playstation 3 to arrive this April...well April fool's day came early with the announcement that Sony will launch in Nonmember 2006. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,1938176,00.asp

Maybe they should wait until December 7th, what do you think?
