Maybe not every kid is dreaming of a number-one hit single when he joins his first band, but that fantasy came true in the week of July 28, 2007, for Plain White T's. The melodic and percolating punk combo from Villa Park, Illinois, had released four solid albums of high-impact pop, collections prized by a steadily increasing base of discerning fans. Then "Hey There Delilah" broke, and the whole world was suddenly wearing Plain White T's.
