For me I'd have to say long, even though no one likes my long hair.. haha. But I LOVE people who can pull off short hair.
I sometimes think long hair just hides you! And actually, I had a lot of fun with my short hair (fauxhawks, crazy updoes, etc)... I think I'm annoyed that my hair is midlength now. booooring. I miss my extensions :(
