Honda Civic Tour 08
BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE (so far)
(stupid blurry picture)
My best friend Lauren and I went to the Honda Civic Tour in Dallas on 4-18-08 and man was it amazing!
So we get inside after waiting in line FOREVER and wait for an hour while the crowd got bigger and it starts to get crowded and then Phantom Planet comes on. I've never actually listened to them but the music was great and fun to jump around to. The concert was general admission so it was just a giant mosh pit (which I've never done before). I had my phone in my front pocket and a few songs in a realized that with all the pushing it had fallen out of my purple skinny jeans. I would have freaked out but I was a little too lost in the moment. Then not long after that I got pushed up to the front and Lauren got pushed back. People were so close together that we got separated. So on Phantom's last song the lead singer dived out into the crowd and I was RIGHT underneath him! It was awesome! lol Yeah so now I can say I've touched the lead singer of Phantom Planet.
Then The Hush Sound came on, I LOVE THEM! By then the crowd was getting rowdy and I was getting trampled! There was a collapse in the group and one point and I was on the edge of it and I fell down. It was so hard to get up but everyone helped each other and I manged to. At one point a girl wearing high heels stepped on my foot (It was purple and swollen) and after that it just kept getting stepped on! But anyways, The Hush Sound was amazing!(as always). I wish I could have gotten hurt less and gotten to listen to the music more, the pushing was so much to handle I was just trying to breathe.
Motion City Soundtrack was next and they were awesome! Halfway through, though, I was at the front but I was about to pass out from not being able to breathe! I didn't want to leave (as many people were) because I knew Panic was next and I wanted that spot up in the front. To make matters worse the Security guard was giving water to all the people right in front of me but I was JUST out of his reach so I didn't get any. Eventually It got so bad that I felt like I was going to pass out and I had to crowd surf out of there (that was wicked cool!). It had been so hot in the crowd that getting out was such a relief! I was drenched in my (and other people's) sweat. Gross! I went and bought a water and a Panic At The Disco shirt with birdies on it. By then MCS was finished and I went and got in the back of the crowd to wait for Panic.
By the time Panic actually came on I was already back up at the front but this time the pushing wasn't bad and i wasn't as close to people. Thanks the lord. Plus, I was lucky enough to get right in front of Ryan Ross! I was so very very happy!!! They were so funny and it was just amazing!!!! Before they sang Lying Is The Most Fun Ryan and Brendon told everybody they hoped we found somebody to take home. lol. Behind The Sea was Beautiful. As was Northern Downpour. It was just one of those amazing moments that you want to last forever (as corny as that sounds).
then the concert ended and i searched for my phone and Lauren. I still needed a way of getting a hold of my mom to pick us up! I was alone and freaking out. I couldn't find either. I had known that Lauren planned on buying her merch after the concert so I went and got in line to find her, plus I still wanted a The Hush Sound shirt. I stood in line and then realized that Lauren was only two people away from me. And it turns out she happend to be next to the people that found my phone so she had it! Yay! I bought my shirt and was waiting for Lauren to get hers (she was a little behind me). I turn around and there is The Hush Sound...standing there...right next to me!!! I was screaming inside my head. I got them to sign my shirt and I was talking to them and laughing with them. Greta even told me that I looked "fantastic"! It was just an amazing, surreal night! so so so so great!

but yeah, I agree. HEELS?! hell, no. Especially in the pit. That defeats the purpose. I'm a converse girl, personally. (:
[oh, and thanks for commenting my journal! and I'm adding you, if that's okay?]
One questions: Did they cuss a lot? My dad wants to know otherwise I can't go. D=
But he mainly cares about the f-word. Or whatever. =P
