Save PBS

Save PBS

For those who haven't heard yet, the US Congress may cut funding to PBS, eventually ending all federal funding to the station (and National Public Radio), a devastating blow to public broadcasting. There are things you can do, though. There are petitions to sign and, more importantly, state representatives to write. TV fans are well aware of how much PBS has contributed to quality programming, so please help save the TV that has always been "good" for you.

You can start by signing MoveOn.org's petition:http://www.moveon.org/publicbroadcasting/

It would break my heart to see anything happen to PBS.

I rarely watch TV, but I do enjoy NPR on my commute. I hope they get the funding they need to continue.

My old boss, Pat Mitchell, just left there, I think. It's a sad state of affairs when we might lose public broadcasting.

My entire life, socially, musically, culturally revolves around an NPR station here in LA called KCRW.
I would literaly shrivle up and die if it ever went away.
I am already a member and pledge to two LA area NPR stations and two LA area PBS stations. They are so important for so many intangable reasons.
VIVA PUBLIC BROADCASTING!
