From Jared: The Pioneer tour was a learning experience not only for our fans but for us as well. I'll never forget the first 3 shows we played on the west coast. It's a challenge to play new songs live, and it usually helps if the album is out. That wasn't the case for those shows. Pioneer wasn't even released yet, but somehow there were hundreds of people showing up to hear it in person. I think it was a combination of emotions that set those shows apart from any I've played before. My favorite memory from that tour was sharing those first few sets with some sincerely loyal fans. For them to show up even though they hadn't heard the album yet made the long road to get to that point all worthwhile. We're looking to keep the good times rolling this spring with Lydia and Arkells. Our set is long and filled with little treats for all to enjoy. From John: My fondest memory from "An Evening with The Maine," would definitely be the final show of the tour at The Nile Theater in Mesa, Arizona. I think it might go down as the warmest show I've ever played. But for as hot as it was in that room, no one seemed to care. The energy and the passion in the room was almost overwhelming. From Pat: When I think back on past tours and just memories of being in this band in general one of my favorite moments is the "An Evening With The Maine…" tour. It was our first headlining tour and the first time we had the chance to play as many songs as we wanted. We also got the chance to bring out friends with us. Touring with This Century and Austin Gibbs was amazing we had been friends with every single person on the tour before it started which has never happened before. Everyone who came out to that tour I think could feel the energy in the room and feel the excitement of the evening. I am looking forward to the Pioneer world tour for a lot of the same reasons, it will be our first true headlining tour since then and again we will get to play as many songs as we want. From Kennedy: This winter we played some really intimate shows, surrounding the release of our new album pioneer. On that short run, we played a very memorable show to me, at a venue called Chain Reaction. Some of our first successful shows were there, and it stands out in my mind as a huge stepping stone for our band. On November 22, 2011, during an intermission from our show, we played a mockumetary jokingly explaining a brief history of the band. While we played it, I was able to watch the crowds reaction. I can hardly describe how amazing it felt to laugh and reminisce with the people we grew up with. From Garrett: Our tour last December was unlike anything we as The Maine have ever done. We played an entire record start to finish. 13 songs no breaks, just music. My favorite memory of the entire tour was right when we started playing the first song. No one in the room knew any of the music besides us on stage. I was so nervous, pioneer the record and, tour were something we had been working on for over a year. To finally have people hear the new songs was just a huge stress off my shoulders. When people seemed to like the songs I had so more worries. All the battles to get the record out finally felt like it was worth it.
