She loves to brush her teeth. That's especially good, because she loves to eat even more. If I could get the other one, whose twice her age, to eat as much as my baby, all would be good with the universe.

As it turns out, I have the uncomfortable job of trying to find the right balance of making sure my three year old eats enough food while not spending the entire day at the table waiting for her to finish breakfast. And I probably wouldn't worry so much about it if the doctor hadn't labeled her as "mildly anemic."

At least I don't have two slow, picky eaters to worry about. The one-year-old has no problem getting the job done at the table. Heck, sometimes I have to break things up when she starts scrapping with the cats over the remaining Friskies.

Of course, my biggest concern should be that more adventurous side that little girls tend to develop. The side that makes them think its okay to climb on things that shouldn't be climbed on, like entertainment centers, kitchen counters and me.

Being crotch-checked by a toddler really wakes you up to the realities of life as a parent. When kids want something, they will find ways to get it.

Most of the time, I like to think I'm smarter than they are, but there's nothing quite like the daily "OH MY FRIGGIN GOD, I CAN"T BREATHE!" reminder to the ballsack to make a dad switch the babysitter back to Spongebob Squarepants.
