Saturday in one word: Amazing.

Despite my prediction of my Saturday night plans completely bombing, my sister, friend Casey and I went to the famous "Big O" Fair in Oxford. We left my house at about 3:15pm and met one of Casey's friends in town Belfast and then tried picking up my friend Michelle yet she was not home. surprised? Not really. We then go to Augusta/Hallow area walk around the town and to see a few friends. I wanted to stop in at the museum in Augusta to see if they still have my peace I did for them in seventh grade up, yet had no idea how to get there. We get back on the road and we get slightly lost. We stop at almost every gas station and they all had different versions of directions involving to route to get their.

[This was the coolest and creepiest store I have ever been in. There was nobody inside and the keys were in the door, sensing that it was really closed and they happened to forget to lock the door I took some fast pictures and got the hell out of there.]

[I plan to go back and buy a bunch of creepy things to put up during Halloween.]

We stop at the Econo Lodge Inn & Suites and I get the cashier to Map Quest us a rout. It takes forever and I end up printing it out and getting out of there as fast as I could. We finally get there during Prospect Hill's performance. We rush over and I push my way into the front of the crowd. I go threw the mosh pit and got pushed so I begin moshing and it got crazy. I then realized my Sidekick fell out of my pocket and I had about 20 strangers looking for it. Some girl found it and I owe her everything.

I had my nice camera in the front of the crowd as I was taking live shots and some guy tries to grab it from me and I freak out. His girlfriend punches me in the head and hits me with a plastic sword. I grab it from her, push her and continue taking pictures. Prospect Hill was finished and I walk out of the crowd and meet up with Casey and Cathy then we walked to the vans and the merch tent. A member of the band comes over and talks to us as they met Casey at a show in Bangor and I talk to them on Myspace and it was all planed to met and take some pictures.

Dead Season starts and I go threw the pit and push my way right back to the front. The whol.e crowd pushes everyone forward and I get pushed against the stage and it killed my ribs. I then go to the side of the stage and ask security if I can take a picture from the side of the stage and he those me up and I was right onto the side of stage, I take a picture and the bass player moves so I can take a picture of the crowd. It was crazy.

Prospect Hill comes over at the end of the Dead Season set and we all go over to the fares wheel and take some pics. It was crazy and the fair security was telling us to leave and the band was like "There with us" and we were the last people to leave. We get back on the road, get lost again. This time I go into the gas station and the guy was like "Oh theres a map in the storage room" and for a second figured murder was on his mind. He sent us the wrong way and then some girl corrects us.

We get back to Bangor at about 4:30ish and drop Cathy off. Casey and I went down to the Public Parking building and hung out on the roof for a bit. Its crazy up there, you can see a lot of the city and roof tops are just a cool place to be. There was a lot of spiders.

[We then go to Steven Kings House and take some pictures of his gate. Then back to Cathy's to watch Across the Universe and crash.]

I woke up to my mum calling telling me she was on the way. Casey and I go to the Airport Mall and there is usually porn in the bathrooms so for old times sake I check and no porn, but a bottle of Vodka was hidden. If only I had bigger pockets. We go back and hang with Cathy and her new boyfriend till my mum get into town. My mum comes with her friend so Cathy, Arron and I get in the car and we go around Bangor and Brewer to get Halloween stuff and stuff for Cathy's apartment.

Its Wensday yet I thought it was Monday. This week has gone by way too fast.

Its 7:17am. Have not slept yet, talking to Casey on the phone, making eggs.

I need sleep yet cannot close my eyes.

Oxford scientists "discover" parallel universes. (!!!!!!!)

I will simply echo the sentiments of my beloved blogger sister, Melissa: HOLY ZOMG, THIS IS THE COOLEST THING ON THE PLANET.

Seriously, I can't even begin to stress how gigantically huge this discovery is. If it pans out fully, our entire perception of the world will by systematically changed.

But let me back up and try to explain this to you. (You can find the source article here.)
  • The parallel universe theory, first proposed in 1950 by the US physicist Hugh Everett, helps explain mysteries of quantum mechanics that have baffled scientists for decades, it is claimed.

In Everett's "many worlds" universe, every time a new physical possibility is explored, the universe splits. Given a number of possible alternative outcomes, each one is played out - in its own universe.

There was an awesome (though Mulderless) episode of The X Files in Season 9 called "4D" that addressed this very issue; in many ways, it confused the fuck out of fans, simply because it's incredibly difficult to think about our world in this way.

The episode centered around a man who could simply travel in between parallel universes. In one, he was a meek and shy mother's boy. In another, he was a ruthless killer and a psychopath. Obviously, the writers took some physical and scientific liberties, but the basic science was there: At any given time, when any action occurs at the physical and subatomic level, the universe "splits" into all of the given possibilities.

Do you realize what this means?????
  • A motorist who has a near miss, for instance, might feel relieved at his lucky escape. But in a parallel universe, another version of the same driver will have been killed. Yet another universe will see the motorist recover after treatment in hospital. The number of alternative scenarios is endless.

It is a bizarre idea which has been dismissed as fanciful by many experts. But the new research from Oxford shows that it offers a mathematical answer to quantum conundrums that cannot be dismissed lightly - and suggests that Dr Everett, who was a Phd student at Princeton University when he came up with the theory, was on the right track.

Commenting in New Scientist magazine, Dr Andy Albrecht, a physicist at the University of California at Davis, said: "This work will go down as one of the most important developments in the history of science."

Most assuredly. This could explain so many unexplained phenomenon that we experience in this universe: UFOs could be ships from parallel universes. Ghosts could come from another universe. People disappearing out of thin air could be attributed to this as well.

Ok, I'm certainly getting way ahead of myself. This is still just a proposed mathematical theory that explains a lot. But just imagine how amazing this would be!!!!!!
