'Fantastic Mr. Fox' In Theaters November 13

Hollywood has been struggling for ideas lately, turning toys like Stretch Armstrong and Viewfinder into movies, solely to cash in on childhood nostalgia... And although this idea is far from original, it's a definite upgrade from the prospect of Asteroids.

20th Century Fox is turning Roald Dahl's book, Fantastic Mr. Fox, into a stop motion animated film, which is due out November 13, 2009.  Director Wes Anderson signed on to the film, citing Roald Dahl, Anderson's hero, as his main reason.

There's no trailer as of yet, but the first screenshot has just been released and it's absolutely adorable.

Imagine the badger on the left voiced by Bill Murray, Mr. Fox (middle) voiced by George Clooney, and Mrs. Fox (right) voiced by Meryl Streep.

My totally biased opinion says that this movie will be absolutely amazing.  Have there been any bad Roald Dahl adaptations?

What's your favorite Roald Dahl book?
