It was my first day at the new high school. It was slightly perfect, I had all my friends and it was in a middle spot in the district so there were bound to be new people from the other three schools, and on top of that I was finally back home. I mean my real house, not an apartment, because all the renovations were over, and I could sleep under my own roof. I walked through the doors and was hit by all the madness at once, the main hall was full of rush hour like traffic, and there were already people in small groups standing off to the sides chatting, and couples making out on the benches.

 I found a spot on one and pulled out my schedule, was looking for my home room, I found out it was room 250, on the second floor. I got up and started making my way down the hall, when someone grabbed me from behind and screamed, I jumped in the air and turned around to find no other then my best friend, Ryan we had known each other since we were in pre-k. He had gotten so much taller over the summer; it kind of shocked me when I had to look up to see his face. He was standing there, with his girlfriend of three years, Katy, she was just a freshman, but it was so cute to see her tip-toe, and him practically bend over just to kiss.

 Ryan and Katy both started walking with me, towards the stairs, I told them where my home room was and Katy practically screeched when she told me it was her home room too. We got there and Ryan said he'd see us at lunch and went to find his home room. When we got in the room we found two seats as close to the back as possible, in the corner, and sat and talked for awhile."So" I said. "You and Ryan have been together for three years, you know that's like the longest he's been with anyone?" "I know, it's the longest for me too, I'm really falling for him, hard."  She said, and smiled. "As for you, we're going to get you a man this year!" She raised her eyebrows up and down, and giggled.  I just said whatever, and the teacher walked in and started to settle everyone down.

 She had just got done with calling roll, when a tall kid with skunk hair burst through the door, and shouted, "I'M HEAR!" He was breathless and gasping for air like he had ran the parking lot a few times. When he realized what he did he blushed and walked with his head hanging, up teacher.She said "you're tardy Mr....?"  "Barakat." He said. "Jack Barakat, guitarist, and future rock star." He smiled a rather goofy smile that made me blush, and giggle a little. I looked over at Katy who saw me blush and raised her eye brows, in an "are-fucking-kidding-me" look.

 The teacher told him to take a seat and not to make a habit of running in like that. He looked around a second, then came and sat in the seat beside me, I felt a rush of blood serge to my face. Katy turned around with a notebook and sat it in front of me. It read: OMG!! You totally have a crush on him, say something to him! I wrote back no way, he'll think I'm a weirdo!  If u don't I will!!  kill uIf u do, I'll kill you wit a spoon!! I'm going to say something after class if u don't throw him a note right now. :}  Just as I started to write, I note landed on my desk, folded into a mini football shape, and with a question mark on the front and back. I looked at confused, then opened it and read, hey can I borough a pencil and a notebook or piece of paper or something? I don't have anything and what I'm writing with I just stole out of the kid in front me's bag, he still don't know ,oh yea I'm jack the kid sitting beside you...
