Nirvana

There are bands that their greatness cannot be describe by any grand introduction, one of them is Nirvana. They are one of the bands that fueled the grunge revolution during the nineties. The band was formed by frontman Kurt Cobain and guitarist Kirst Novoselic, they later invited Dave Grohl to play drums. The bandname basically means :"musical freedom" for those who fully understand the music this band makes. They released three huge albums, their debut Bleach(1989), Nevermind(1991) propelled them to popularity and In Utero(1993) strengthened their greatness.

They may not have been the first grunge band, and they may not have invented alt rock, but they shined a giant spotlight onto them. They opened the door for a lot of really great bands. Their legacy is the evolution of alt rock into a more pallatable subgenres. They might be criticize in terms of their musicality but they have the perfect timing, the right sound at the right time. It takes a great musician to make listeners feel something when they play their songs, its what the magic of music is all about and Nirvana certainly have that.
One of the most talked about Nirvana are their lyrics, angst laden, depressive, hard to decipher, some have subliminal verses and talks about real emotions. The meanings of their songs definitely is a huge reason why lot of people embraces them. They spoke of what most people feel, they make people say "theyre actually right" after hearing their songs.
