August 27, 2009Blonde Makeup Expert?!So last week I decided that I am going to change my hair color to red. Its a HUGE step for me since I have been a red head for years. Unfortunately, my goal in being a red head was to be different but I think red hair is getting to common so Im gunna switch it up. What do you all think? Last week I was featured on Avon.com as a "Beauty Expert" Which is pretty cool!
Today has been crazy, we finally finished up picking colors and naming them. We are including a whole lot more matte eyeshadows in this new line! I am pretty excited. We are naming all of the colors things that are important to me, like names of our pets. We will then have a story that goes along with every color :) What eyeshadow colors would you like to see in the new line? What lipgloss colors? Have you ever changed your hair color drastically?

August 16, 2009ScarletMadeline's Makeup Mastermind Looks At Hippy Chic: Leighton Meester and Nicole RichieWe judge people on the arrangements of their features and their style. Care to tell me that you don't? Well, I would say that you might not judge your friends on their beauty, but you certainly pick up a magazine cover or check out a musician on stage and say "damn that girl looks awful in that outfit" or "wow what was she thinking wearing that much eyeshadow". This round of ScarletMadeline's Makeup Mastermind I wanted to look at hippie chic, Nicole Richie and Leighton Mester. Lets take a look ...

August 5, 2009Meeting Meghan...Name: Meghan Elizabeth Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes, The Best Shopping in My Area... When on the hunt for something a bit more high-end, polished and sophistocated I find myself at Lord & Taylor. I've been a frequent shopper there since I was able to toddle my way through the racks of embelished onesies to the cafe where the girls of my family have shared lunch just about every other week for the last 16+ years. Great for shoes, jewelry, cosmetics and clothing...this is both a girl's Garden of Eden and worst nightmare! Pieces like your first pair of black patent leather round-toe heels, Perscriptives eyeliner or Rebecca Taylor cardigan can't be beat anywhere but Lord & Taylor. This would be my splurge store, for sure. When I'm looking for something with a bit more stay and guaranteed quality to it, I shoot for a new branch boutique a town over called Wishlist. There are a couple of stores in Connecticut, as well as a webstore. It is really the best store for a little mix of everything. High-end brands, very trendy, age versatile, yet all safe under the brink between affordable and outrageous. I shoot for this store when I'm looking for something specific like a nice girly Free People sun dress, the perfect pair of Seven jeans or just a couple of Sugarlips ribbed tanks. It is my happy medium on my list of 'Where To Shop', as it is neither overly expensive nor a steal, but the perfect balance of affordable High-End inspired pieces. For where I live, vintage at best would be found somewhere like Good Will. A couple of towns over is my favorite vintage jewelry, art & antique shop called The Perry/Matto Gallery on Washington in SoNo. I have the best rustic silver bow bracelet from there that is still a favorite of mine, although I bought it over a year ago! My best bargains would have taken place at either Marshalls or Canal/Mulberry Street in the City. Cheap jewelry, bags and shoes...what could a girl love more? Bargaining with the shop owner is the best part of it, not only do you get a great deal but the rush of having control over what you feel is reasonable for your purchase. The Seven Style Staples. These seven pieces are vital to a girl's wardrobe, especially if she is a budding fashionista with any hopes of success in the Fashion world. 1. LBD The Classic Little Black Dress is THE fool-proof staple of the seven. It is your go-to item when you find yourself in an 'Everything looks entirely horrid on me' kind of mood. When purchasing your LBD, don't just pick up the first one you see in your size. Make sure that it is the right length, fit, style, shape...the works. It must be not the perfect LBD but your perfect LBD. You need a dress that will enhance your best assets, as it is the outfit that should make you feel on top of the world saying All Eyes on Me! You should be able to dress it up, dress it down. Spice it up with a pop of color and wear any type of shoe or bag to showcase your personal flair. Remember, you can never have too many Little Black Dresses, so never feel guilty for buying multiples of this Style Staple. 2. Pearls Be it a single bracelet, set of large earrings, long strand or encrusted broach....if it's class you're striving for, you've got it. I consider pearls to be the best way to girl up your look with a nice sense of class. They can be worn long, over a plain navy v-neck tee or even layered bib-style over a bright strapless mini dress. Pearls are a great investment, so go for quality over price for this accessory. 3. Dependable Denim Like your LBD, your perfect pair of jeans should be a well-thought out purchase. The fit, the style, the wash, the design and stictching must flatter your shape as well as meet your comfort standards to be considered Dependable Denim. Seemingly like most of the Style Staples, you can never have a maximum in this category...only a minimum. Remember to have at least two to three pairs of jeans that are comfortable and flatter you well enough so you can throw them on with no self concious worries in mind. 4. A Neutral Trench At a medium length in idealy an ivory or off-white, a trenchcoat with a nice structure and fit to it will be perfect to throw over a party dress in weather conditions or even just for a day of shopping the streets in the City. It is a staple you may have never thought of, but will be very grateful for when you're searching through your closet for the right coat! 5. Peep-toe Pumps Girls will be girls, and will do it in heels. Every thought-out look can jump from casual to dressy with a pair of black peep-toe heels. Be it a flowy cream peasant top tucked into a pair of dark wash skinnies or a fun frock, these neutral shoes are a staple that will keep you on your toes! ;) 6. The Perfect Flattering Top Over a tee or a maxi dress, a cropped cardigan is a sensible and chic way to add polish and comfort to your look. A crisp white button down is also the most versatile. Wear tucked into jeans, with two buttons undone is a flirty yet classy way to embrace this staple to it's potential. Even a menswear style with a pair of gray slacks and nice heels will do the job. 7. Belt It! I feel one of the most flattering parts of a girl's body is her waist. A belt can be the perfect fix to an outfit missing that little something. Whether it's cinching the waist to accentuate your slim figure or even just to add a bit of punch to the style, a belt is a style that has become a staple of mine along with women everywhere. I like to match a black single row studded belt over a baby pink or sweetheart top to keep a nice balance between girly and edgy. Make it a thick belt, a thin belt, in brown, black or even orange...take this staple and adjust to make it fit your look!

June 14, 2009My style picks part 1
This time I decided to bring you my icons, so I picked out some newest pictures. Take a peak and tell me what do you think!
NYC backstage 92' shirt I've already seen on lookbook, kinda rad! And THE JACKET...god I love sequins..I think they fit on everything...well almost, hahahha. In conclusion this outfit is cute, pretty much eye-catching and perfect for going out.
I seriously want this Minnie Mouse hoodie/dress...I bet I can call it like this. But hey who doesn't want this!! Patricia's studded belt ROCKS! Bowler hat and vintage sunglasses are amazing together. In a strangely way everything suits...
God I l o v e this one! I like absolutely everything in this outfit. Shoes are amazing...stunning. Skinny jeans are awesome..I especially like the colour. I think Cheap Monday makes this kinda style jeans...so everybody can buy them...and they're also way lot cheaper than originals. Blazer is a must in this season. This black one is perfect...and classic. Love this, I would totally wear it..everywhere!
First I have to say that I love Nicole's jewellery. I think they're from her line House Of Harlow 1960. I've already checked out the items and they're so rad! Well I like this long dress and I'm actually planning to buy one for summer. Snake pattern bag is cute...enough big, but still small...hmm confusing hahah.
I heart high-wasted skirts and headbands right now...two favorite things. Shoes are so eye-catching..very different in a good way. This outfit is good for long going outs...I mean perfect for going to a party or some event. Not too much...just right.
So they were my first 5 picks for you with comments. What do you think, the outfits sucked or not? Do you have any icons or role-models? Part 2 is coming soon! XOXO

October 9, 2008Mommy's Love and Daddy Duty-Update on Joel Madden, Nicole Richie, and Harlow Winter Kate MaddenJOEL MADDEN - MADDEN: 'HARLOW IS GOING TO BE A ROCK STAR TOO'![]() The Good Charlotte rocker admits he could one day be hitting the road with Harlow - his baby with Nicole Richie - performing as father and daughter. He tells People magazine, "I have a feeling she's going to be musical because she loves instruments. "She has a little piano that I took the legs off and put on the floor. She lays there and just bangs it." But Richie is hoping Harlow becomes a dancer instead: "She's going to be a dancer. I'm going to put her in ballet (classes) when she can start walking." But they both agree on one thing - Harlow will get to choose. Madden adds, "I just want to give her the option to try whatever she wants." Nicole Richie's Militant About Mom Duty RAMEY PHOTO Call it the year of the comeback: Britney cleaned up and is releasing a new album. Paris is running for prez—sort of. And Nicole now spends her time pureeing green beans and sweet potatoes for daughter Harlow, according to a new People profile. Hollywood's gone soft, and we couldn't be happier. It's not so sexy, but there's something really sweet about the fact that Nicole obsessively chronicles her kid's every move. "She has notebooks and notebooks full of the first time she [Harlow] rolled over, the first time she laughed...Everything she's ever done is in that book," says boyfriend Joel Madden, who claims the Good Charlotte tour bus is a no-party zone these days. So are you on board with this new and (potentially) improved version, or do you miss the wild ways of Tinseltown's onetime terrors?
JOEL MADDEN - MADDEN TAKES ON PLANE PAPARAZZORocker JOEL MADDEN recently launched into a mid-air brawl with a fellow jet passenger who tried to take photographs of his girlfriend NICOLE RICHIE and baby daughter HARLOW while they were asleep.

October 7, 2008Ashlee Simpson-Wentz's White Trash Birthday Bash
Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has had kind of a crazy year. And I'm not just talking about the release of her album Bittersweet World.
In May, she married boyfriend Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy, and then several weeks later announced she was expecting her first child with her new husband. The suddenness of the wedding combined with the baby announcement had people screaming "SHOTGUN WEDDING!" (and abusing their right to quote a Panic[!] at the Disco song) and making some fairly viscious generalizations about the singer. These are generalizations that Simpson-Wentz appears to have taken lightly and possibly into the realm of pure parody. The pregnant singer celebrated her 24th birthday on Friday evening with a White Trash themed party. Apparently the about-to-pop singer, who's due date is looming every closer, wore daisy duke shorts, a bikini top, platformed flip flops and topped the ensemble off with a fake tattoo on her baby bumped belly. Her father Joe dolled himself up in a mullet wig and a muscle tee shirt, and sister Jessica Simpson got into the spirit with a tight, cleavage bearing leopard print dress. A weird theme? Yeah. But as a guest confirmed, Ashlee's no stranger to going all out with party themes. Last year her party had an 80's Prom theme, topped off with Ashlee and Pete being crowed the prom king and queen for the night. And looking ridiculously adorable while doing so: ![]() ![]() Hell, Simpson-Wentz even went all out on a theme when she and Pete exchanged vows earlier this year. Their wedding was Alice in Wonderland themed, complete with appropriate invitations and party favors. ![]() ![]() ![]() Unfortunately, we don't have any pictures from this year's birthday bash as of yet, but odds are they'll hit the internet sooner or later! Odds are Pete Wentz got into the spirit of things with a themed costume, but did celebrity guests Christina Aguilera, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden? Only time will tell!
