Foxboro Hot Tubs Get 'Bourbon-Faced on Sh-- Street' at New Orleans Stop

Billie Joe Armstrong The Reverend Strychnine Twitch is up to his old tricks again, posting another blog on the Foxboro Hot Tubs MySpace page that takes more than a few reads to fully understand.

The message by the frontman for Foxboro Hot Tubs – who recently revealed that they are, in fact, Green Day – reads: "Dear Tub Heads, damn, my shoes are gravy!! We kicked our two-step through the Big Easy. Toastin' tequila shots to my main man Trombone Shorty! All the Honeydips and Big Dogs came out to One Eyed Jacks. I did a little magic trick by turnin' a tall boy into a bottle of Jack. Then I got bourbon-faced on Sh-- Street! Sting!!!!!!! There's a whole lotta lushotology in this town. My man Mr. Freese lost his mouthpiece but found it back at Juanitas! Thank you, baby! I need to see a little more dressin' up out out there! Drop your laundry and let's get down, now ... Sting! Sting!"

Now, let's do some deciphering:

-"Tub Heads" is obviously shorthand for fans of Foxboro Hot Tubs.
-The Big Easy is, of course, New Orleans, a city the Hot Tubs played Tuesday.
-Trombone Shorty, whose real name is Troy Andrews, performed with U2 and Green Day at the reopening of New Orleans' Superdome in September 2006.
-Bourbon Street is one of the more notorious parts of the city's French Quarter, where people go to drink – "bourbon-faced on Sh-- Street" is clearly a play off that.
-One Eyed Jacks is the venue where the Hot Tubs performed earlier this week.
-"Mr. Freese" is Jason Freese, who is a member of the Hot Tubs and also performs backup (piano/keyboard, saxophone, guitar, etc.) for Green Day.
-There is a New Orleans club called Juanita's, although it's unclear if Twitch is referring to that.
-The "mouthpiece" in question is likely the one Freese uses when he plays the sax on the band's song "Pieces of Truth," which closes out the Hot Tubs' debut, Stop, Drop and Roll!!!, which just hit stores yesterday (the vinyl version drops June 24).

The Hot Tubs are continuing to hype said debut via a brief tour; here are the remaining dates:

5.22: Austin, TX @ Emo's
5.25: Phoenix, AZ @ The Brick House
5.26: Solana Beach, CA @ Belly Up
5.27: Los Angeles, CA @ The Roxy
5.28: Long Beach, CA @ Alex's Bar

Are you diggin' the band's side project? Discuss in the comments below! Sting!
