Early MVP For Kobe!

By watching the Game 1 of the NBA finals between Los Angeles Lakers and Orlando Magic, it was clearly noticed that Kobe Bryant is still the best NBA player among all the NBA players that we have seen along this NBA season 2009; the only conflict arises while picking between the second leader of NBA statistics, LeBron James, who has been pointed at as the new Michael Jordan due to his exceptional skills and talents.

the demonstration of Kobe during Game 1, highlighted the ever-lasting power of the Lakers jerseys to claim the NBA title easily, especially after thrashing the Orlando Magic jerseys by 25 easy points at the buzzer. Coach Phil Jackson is about to repeat its prior achievements during the Kobe-Shaq Lakers years, as well as during the Michael Jordan at the Chicago Bulls pride era.

Due to the exceptional talents of Kobe, and unique management of Coach Jackson, Kobe Bryant is expected to lift-up the NBA Finals MVP award once more in his career; sports news and basketball TV commentators approved and acknowledged that no NBA player has deserved the MVP as much as the almighty Number 24 Lakers Jersey. Still, the surprise package of the Orlando Magic, is an underdog in the perspective on NBA betting panels, since the arrival to the NBA Finals is considered to be a surprise but... who knows? in case of a Magic jerseys triumph, Dwight Howard will be the one to rise the MVP trophy for the 1st time in his NBA basketball career.

NBA PLAYOFFS CANT GET ANY BETTER!!

I know nobody here in Buzznet cares about NBA but whatever I choose to post this blog here than in those bad mouthed infested sports blogging sites.

Anyway NBA Playoffs has never been this exciting! The Boston vs Chicago first round series was insanely thrilling.  I havent seen a triple overtime game my whole goddamn basketball fan life.Lebron James is superhuman. Kobe Bryant is Kobe Bryant. Celtics I guess will have an earlier tea party in Boston than last year.  Dwight Howard is less than a great player. And lots of other amazing happenings. But the part that brought me peeing in my pants is...

the DENVER NUGGETS REACHING WESTERN C ONFERENCE FINALS for the first time since 1985. Hell, Carmelo Anthony wasnt even born that year yet. Melo definitely carried his team this time unlike his usual immature playoff exit in the past years.  Chauncey Billups is like the silent force that drives the team, he is the real leader. Denver definitely benefited off that Iverson trade.  A lot of other guys stepped up and brought their game especially defense and teamwork to a higher level.  Surely after this season Denver already earned the respect they should get out of the fans.  They really are great deal in the West.

And for the Dallas Mavericks what a poor display of sportsmanship. Mark Cuban is a huge asshole.

CHEERS BASKETBALL FANS!!!

Tattoo News Review

Today is a momentous day for the Needled news review. I will not mock celebrities and their tattoo snafus. I will not utilize my extensive knowledge of rap lyrics to describe headlined items. And most importantly, I will not joke about unbelievable American laws that infringe freedom of expression because, as I learned this weekend, it can land my booty in jail. [No joke.]

Bulls Where Are You?

So Halloween I had to cut off my candy hunt to see opening night for the Bulls and the Nets, plus the Nuggets and the Sonics game. Well what makes me sad is that whole game my Bulls were behind and they were leading at most by three points in the fourth quarter. What piece of shit I hate the Nets, eek so I think Carter needs to grow some balls and also Jefferson because I hate their guts, dude threw like three air balls in a row at the forth plus Kid has the weirdest shaped head ever. Anyway over time, sucked since we lost because Wright came out of nowhere and made like every fucking shot in, he’s a bitch too. Anyway, point of my story I’m pissed off. I came to school the next day in a bad mood complaining about the game and being a residence in New Jersey it didn’t turn out to well, I got booed by the entire Nets fans in my class. Well you know what FUCK you too.

Then you know the Sixers played the Bulls and I was like hell yeah we’re going to win, although I’m not going to lie I love the Sixers until Allen Iverson left, but you know what we lost anyway. How could the Bulls loose to the Sixers come on. The shitty part is I can’t even watch the games it’s not in my television coverage so I keep on reloading NBA.com to see the scores every minute. Then the Bucks today six fucking points… I’m so angry what is going on. Come on guys step up. Please win for me that would make my day.  They have to win against the Clippers right?

At lease I still have the Nuggets... They been ripping everyone so far... Kill the Hornets...

One week, Six Days, and 23 Hours Notice

I know I've been inundating the web with a lot of posts--a glob of blogs, if you will--but there's a lot going on en la oficina.  And good thing, too: with the NBA playoffs ending anticlimactically and Paris Hilton behind bars, I don’t know where else I would derive excitement this week.

Today was particularly special at DailyMe, as it was filled with warm welcomes (our new administrative assistant), fond reunions (with the VP Programming Master, who sits on the other side of my cubicle and just had a baby), and bittersweet farewells (with an executive wheelie chair that we sold on Craigslist).  Although the chair had an impressive educational background, good people skills, and a firm handshake, we just could NOT look beyond its incompatibility with certain floor materials.  DailyMe strives for a comfortable, tolerant office environment, so we did not pardon the chair’s habit of scratching the hardwood with its wheels.  Oh, the nerve!  At any rate, we are fortunate that the seat was quickly picked up by another local company, for we did not plan on offering severance pay.

On another note, I’d like everyone to scratch the flattering things I said about atomic clocks in my last post.  In fact, I now balk at the atomic clock.  For in the midst of all the excitement that surrounded pairing our minute and second to that of the world’s “absolute time”, we forgot all about the hour ticker!  I noticed this when I got to work fifteen minutes before I left my house, which is usually impossible.  There were only two possibilities: either someone fixed my flux capacitor, or the clock was an hour behind.

And sure--it’s still pretty cool to say that a clock is EXACTLY an hour behind schedule, but the drawbacks are numerous.  It’s like the great philanthropist Madonna said:

“We are living in a Daylight Savings world, and I am an Eastern Standard Time girl.”

Well, no longer!  DailyMe, Inc. is back on track and—what’s more—potential users out there have one fewer hour to wait for our service to launch!

Talk to you all tomorrow.  Peace, Love, and Personalized Media.

Tim Hardaway thinks that if you're honest about your homophobia, then it's ok.

No one paid attention when I posted about John Amaechi coming out and the ridiculous comment firestorm that followed. Perhaps people will notice this the second time around:

Former Miami Heat superstar Tim Hardaway told a local sports radio show that he “hates gay people.”

Hardaway made the comments while he was being interviewed by Dan Le Batard on 790 the Ticket Wednesday afternoon.

The five time All Star was asked how he would deal with a gay teammate.

First of all I wouldn’t want him on my team,” said Hardaway. “ “Second of all, if he was on my team I would really distance myself from him because I don’t think that’s right and I don’t think he should be in the locker room when we’re in the locker room.

Le Batard took Hardaway to task, pointing out that his comments were “flatly homophobic” and bigoted, but that only seemed to stir up the former point guard.

Well, you know, I hate gay people,” Hardaway said in response to Le Batard. “I let it be known I don’t like gay people. I don’t like to be around gay people. I’m homophobic. It shouldn’t be in the world, in the United States, I don’t like it.

Truth is, it's hard to formulate an intelligent and articulate response to bigotry. Of course the first thing I want to do is spew out a bunch of expletive-laced rhetoric about how fucked this is. It's natural to want to do this when someone speaks so hatefully and so directly. (I mean, think about it: Tim Hardaway hates me and I've never even met him. How weird is that????)

I want to explain to him that gay people aren't savage beasts. (My BFF already did this.)

I want to parallel his hate with the hate his own race has received historically and show him the irony that he espouses.

But I'm just going to let it stand. I'm going to let the progressive community and the gay community burn him at the stake. They'll be a public outcry. Apologies will be demanded. I bet Hardaway will say his comments were taken out of context or he'll say something more ridiculous.

Either way, it's a sad state for homosexuality in America.

Gay in the NBA

Whoa. I just read this blog post over at Shakespeare's Sister (<3) and......

Well, I don't what to say. Big ups to John Amaechi. I know how difficult it is to come out and have the ordeal be entirely in the public eye. (That's another blog post for the future. Bug me about it and I may tell it.)

But read the responses by other NBA players. Fucking. Insane.
