Check Out: National Product!

National Product-named one of the

"Top 100 Bands To Watch In 2008"

-Alternative Press

The band’s stellar debut release, Luna, out now on R&M Artist Records and produced by James Paul Wisner (Paramore, Underoath, Dashboard Confessional), is seeing the first single entitled "By All Means" turn heads at Alternative Radio across the country. The song can also be heard these days at the movies as it is featured in a national CINEMASOUNDS campaign where it is being played in over 6,500 movie theaters. Building on their red-hot momentum, the video for "By All Means" is currently being seen on-line, at broadcast outlets in towns from coast to coast and at major retail and life-style shops in malls across the USA and has recently made its way onto TV. BY ALL MEANS just WON the FRESHMEN 5 on MTVU. A week prior MTV & Freedom Zone had a crew in Salt Lake City, Utah interviewing the boys for a show called ON THE RISE which will showcase the bands personalities, music, videos as well as serious topics like their involvement in various charities, suicide, the music industry from their point of view and how to survive as a band and family on the road through all the trials and tribulations that a band faces in this modern music world. An OC band by way of Hawaii, National Product consists of six guys( Danny/lead singer, Robby/drums, Stan/guitar, Nate/ bass-vocals and Jeff/guitar) from many different walks of life. The band originally started in Hawaii as best friends.

"We have a serious undying passion for music and the fans of music. We are not competitive with other bands because making music to us isn’t a competition, it’s an art form, it’s our way of communicating, healing ourselves, and others and expressing who we are. We love all types of music and believe in writing songs straight from our guts and directly from the heart. Everything we do with this band is motivated by what is RIGHT in our heart versus what sounds right to others or what pays the bills. We are not motivated by fame or money. We are motivated by sing-a-longs, hugs, rad people, good times, and rocking you like a hurricane. Some of us are religious, and some of us are not. Some of us party really hard and some of us do not. We all like to rock though", says singer Danny Casler.

song opinions! chapter three-minus-one.

...continuing on from my previous list...
note: these songs all have some kind of 'theme' to it. I'll tell you towards the end, if you're not able to figure it out. but trust me:you'll figure it out.

"Damn Regret" - The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
I absolutely love this song! I saw the video for this song recently on Steven's Untitled Rock Show on fuse. I dare you to listen to this song and NOT dance. Or at least bob your head. It's IMPOSSIBLE. If you haven't seen the music video, but saw RJA on Warped last year, watch the video and see if you can spot yourself!

"Mr. Right" - The White Tie Affair
Oh boy. That one line makes me laugh every time I hear it. (Listen to the song and you'll all know what line I'm talking about. It's part of the chorus.) This is the song to put on when you're getting ready for an awesome night out! I bet when you listen to this, you'll catch yourself dancing!

"A-Punk" - Vampire Weekend
Okay. So these guys are apparently from Brooklyn. I know a Brooklyn accent when I hear it (I should know because I live on Long Island.) These guys "don't tawk like dis dough" ("don't talk like this though"). I have no idea what the lyrics to this song are. When I first heard "A-Punk," I convinced myself that it was four dorks trying to become The Beatles. But as I kept seeing the video over and over again on MTV, and because they were the Artist of the Week on MTV, this song has grown on me. But I can't sing along to the song. Instead I'm like "Da da da da da da..." haha...

"That's What You Get" - Paramore
So, basically, I love this song. Great lyrics+catchy rhythm=Paramore's next single.

"Paper and Ink" - National Product
These guys are amazing. I saw the name of this song and I was expecting a slooooww love song-ish--song. Boy was I wrong! Thank God! I listened to this song once, and for about two days I kept it on 'repeat' on my sandisk. If there was a limit to how catchy a song could be, "Paper and Ink" definitely exceeds the limit.

"Heels Over Head" - Boys Like Girls
I haven't heard much from these guys in a while! This is a song that will make you jump out of your seat and dance around the room. So I'd recommend NOT listening to it in an elevator. haha...

"Shake It" - Metro Station
I'm listening to this song right now, and I'm trying so hard to sit still, but it's not workin' out so well. Metro Station WILL get you to 'shake it' with this song, even if you don't know how to!

"Poppin' Champagne" - All Time Low
If you're following my pattern, or you cheated and read the theme at the bottom, you HAD to expect this song! This is like the dance anthem of all pop-punk! If you want to talk about catchy songs, let's talk about "Poppin' Champagne"!

ahh! I'm having trouble thinking of other songs!!
alright, I guess I'll tell you the pattern...(you guys lucked out!!)

did you notice that all of these song make you want to DANCE!?
yup, you can't help but to at least bob your head!

do you have any song suggestions for the next chapter?
send 'em in!
