August 12, 2009The Unborn
Did you know Wynona Ryder is naturally a blonde? In her younger years she colored her hair darker and everyone thought it was her natural color, but blonde is actually her natural hue. Did you ever watch Beetlejuice the cartoon? i loved that cartoon, every day after school i would come home and watch it. :)
Has anyone ever told you you look like someone from t.v. or movies? Well, i work in the morning so i think i am calling it a day.
love and rock n roll, Dani

February 25, 2009my thoughts..
If youve ever read my blogs before, youd be well aware that I quite like to give my opinion on things. So Ive decided to start a new segment of my Buzznet journal. Pushing onto you all, my thoughts on current events and so forth. The topic I have in mind this evening - Oscars outfits. This is no sort of hard hitting journalistic venture by any means. Regardless, please read on...
![]() Is it just my eyes deceiving me or did someone deflate Anne Hathaway since Princess Diaries? Despite the fact that this dress makes her look a zillion feet tall - its not all that profound... ![]() Im of the honest belief that Beyonce sets out to maximize the visual size of her arse. This dress looks like Christmas spewed on valentines day. No offence... ![]() This dress is pretty. I really like the earrings. However, I dont like Angelina and the dress is nothing groundbreaking for her. ![]() I despise the colour of this dress but the style is quite pretty Its a shame Natalie doesnt have a very shapely figure to fill it out, but she looks nice. ![]() I dont dislike this dress, the accessories are good. But to me, it kinda just looks like she hacked away at her 2008 Oscars dress with dodgy scissors. ![]() This outfit is a bit disappointing, from someone who I believe has great style. The accessories and hair are great but the dress looks like a bedazzled christmas tree. *tear* ![]() No amount of naughty words could ever fully express how much I despise Vanessa Anne Hudgens. She looks like an emo mermaid who got attacked by a crazy person with painters tape. Oh, and is that a tampon dangling under her chin....probably. Truthfully, I wasnt too impressed by majority of the dresses worn by the stars to the Oscars this year, as you can probably tell... Alice. x

December 25, 2008The Audrey / Jeffree / Hannahbeth / Models / Celebs Column [Advice Column: Ask Me Anything! by Sarah Saturday]***Submit questions to me via message!***
***Note: I've gotten a bunch of questions like these, so I decided to lump them together into one. Hopefully this answers them all!*** Dear Sarah, Did your company make the Skelanimals website? Have you ever met Audrey Kitching? Have you ever met Hannabeth? Do you have any Audrey or Hannabeth pics? Did you meet Jeffree Star when he played the Warped Tour in 08? I really want to be a model/celebrity one day, like ________ (fill in the blank). What should I do? Submitted by: Superfans of Buzznet's Top Ten Dear Superfans, First, I must say how amazed I am by how fanatical you are about these people. The buzz around these people is like a car crash that one can't help but slow down and stare at. I don't totally understand the fascination, but I can appreciate something that generates so much hype. So here goes.. RE: Skelanimals / Audrey / Hannabeth, etc... Yes, my company (The Weekend Group) designed and built the Skelanimals website; however, we do not maintain or manage the site anymore. While we were helping manage the site, we dealt with tons and tons of Audrey Kitching and Hannabeth photos. I first learned about the Audrey phenomenon when one of our other clients, Punk Rock Confidential, had us put her photo in a news entry on their website (which we also designed and built). I didn't hear anything else about her until we started working with Skelanimals in 2008, and they used her in all their photoshoots. That was also the first time I heard about Hannabeth. I've never met either of them in person, but I heard they are both nice. I still don't know much about them except that they are models who sort of launched their own careers on the internet? And maybe one or both of them have dated, or are currently dating, someone in a band? Feel free to educate me... The only pics I have of either of those girls are the ones we put up on the Skelanimals site, and this one of Audrey that we posted on the Punk Rock Confidential site in '07: ![]() RE: The infamous Jeffree Star and Warped tour... Yes, I met Jeffree Star on the first day of Warped 2008, when I was working in the Production office and he was checking in with his band. He was very polite and cracked a funny joke, if I remember correctly. I've never listened to his music, and again I don't know very much about him, but from what I've heard he is really nice. I know the dude who drums in his band, and that guy is pretty nice. What's that saying? "You can judge a man by the company he keeps" or something? I did find these pictures of JS at Warped, which should make you all happy (no, I didn't take them): ![]() RE: Aspiring models/celebrities... I don't really know what to say about becoming a model-slash-celebrity like the example you guys sent me. I've seen a lot of people come out of nowhere and explode onto the fashion (and music) scenes in the last five years, especially with the advent of social networking sites. The above examples, and the other examples you all submitted, are proof that if you really have the drive and the desire to succeed, it is possible -- anything is possible if you dedicate yourself. But allow me to digress for a moment with some personal observations about the worlds of fashion, music, and entertainment in today's high-speed internet-obsessed world... I just feel like there isn't enough substance behind the pretty faces and the fancy clothes, anymore. People in the entertainment industry -- and the fans who follow their lead -- have become so fascinated by glitz and glamor that they no longer think it necessary to develop their minds. It's as if they feel that keeping up with the latest trends will be fulfilling enough, that having nice clothes and fancy hair will make them seem interesting to the world. But I can say from experience that looks are not everything; even the hottest guy or girl in the world can be unattractive if their looks and clothes are all they have going for them. Just recently, I was hanging out with a good friend of mine who is the lead singer of a well-known band. He started dating a girl this past summer who was a model, and absolutely drop-dead gorgeous. He said she was easily the hottest girl he had ever seen in his life! But she had never bothered to develop her mind or her personality, as she had always been able to slide by on her looks alone. It wasn't long before my friend was bored with the relationship. The girl was head-over-heels for him, begging him to commit to the relationship, but he found himself losing his attraction to her, simply because she had nothing more to offer than what was on the outside. He ended things just a few months after they started dating. So I would like to suggest to all the aspiring models and musicians and actors in the world, that you work just as hard on your brains as you do on your looks. Read some books, learn about the world, take classes, develop interesting hobbies, and rely on your mind rather than your looks to get you through life. Let your looks and your keen sense of fashion be an added bonus on top of an attractive mind and personality. Examples? Here ya go... = ![]() = ![]() Someday, you are going to meet the person of your dreams, and you're going to fall for them because of who they are and what they stand for, not for their looks. Make sure you have something more than your looks to offer them, in return. Love, Sarah

Tila Tequila ![]() 1. Hayley Williams ![]()

March 18, 2008The Rule of Actress Displacement
So last night, I journeyed out to $5 movie night at the South Side Works to see "The Other Boleyn Girl." For those of you that know, I got my certificate in Medieval and Renaissance studies in college, though my focus was more on Elizabeth I's reign than Henry VIII. But my friend Gwen is a HUGE history buff (her goal in life is to be Indiana Jones. There's a whole story, I'll tell it at the end because it amuses me...) who knows a ton about Henry VIII's reign and can recite, at will, the exact procession of Henry's wives.
SO, we go to see this movie. And it's...good? I guess? I mean, it wasn't BAD. It was very pretty. And Natalie Portman is AMAZING, but that's to be expected. It's Natalie fucking Portman. And Eric Bana? Well, after I got over the urge to yell "HENRY SMASH INFERTILE WIFE!" very loudly during most of his scenes, I was good. But Scarlett Johansson? Can we talk, sweetie? You're gorgeous. You are a gorgeous woman and you're very outspoken and come off as fairly intelligent from what I've seen. But there are a lot of things you are not. One of them is a serious actress. Don't get me wrong. She's an actress. But you have levels of actress. One of those contains women like Maggie Smith and Helen Mirren. That's the top fucking tier and is where Natalie Portman belongs and will eventually reign supreme over us all. There are lower tiers, not so much saying that these women can't make enjoyable movies, but that they do not raise acting to the level of a fucking art form. ScarJo falls into the tier of "action heroines." Scarlett could be an excellent action heroine. She can point the gun at people and look serious and give that sort of smug "I told you so," look to the hero. Basically, ScarJo SHOULD BE PLAYING THE PARTS THEY GIVE TO JESSICA ALBA. Jessica Alba? Should...um...okay, I just don't like her. So the general rule of actress displacement is as follows: Natalie Portman should be playing the serious roles that Scarlett Johansson plays (unless they are in the same movie, then it gets tricky) Scarlett Johansson should be playing the action roles that Jessica Alba plays (meaning she'd be The Invisible Woman and there might be some redeeming quality to the Fantastic Four films) Jessica Alba, magnum to the head, thank you grandpa (to quote Eddie Izzard). Here's a helpful chart: ![]() And that's the end of that chapter! (So, the story with Gwen is she wants to be Indiana Jones. To the point that she's majoring in history with a concentration in Early Christianity. Like, we went to see Jumper on Sunday night and when the Indy 4 trailer started, she literally leaned forward and grabbed my ankle hard enough to bruise, because you could see Karen Allen. We are threatening to dress up as Marion and Indy for opening night in Pittsburgh, since she has high waisted pants and I have an Indy hat. This would also serve to completely confuse a few of our friends who are convinced Gwen and I have slept together. But, anyway, she only wants to do the "This is the ancient blah blah and it does blah blah," parts, while her friend is going to do the whip cracking and gun shooting bits. You can compare this to Rick and Evie from The Mummy, but do so in her presence and prepare to die a painful and bloody death. Because no, it's nothing like The Mummy, why are you so stupid? And I am going to be the friend who follows them around going "WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!" and then trips and falls against a wall and finds the hidden chamber that contains the ancient blah blah that does blah blah.) February 12, 2008Portman decries poor roles for women
After being asked about the position of women in film during a recent interview, Natalie Portman really let loose. (And for a good reason.) She complained about the lack of intelligent and interesting roles available to women. Do you think she's justified in her conclusions?
