Morgan in her wheel and then Morgan's new cage

Morgan in her wheel, and then Morgan's new cage

*sniffle*

Last week I found myself awake after midnight—something I assure you does not happen often anymore—and so I checked on the hamsters in between bouts with the evil Empire in Bionic Commando: Rearmed for the XBox 360. They were being cute and cuddly, I supposed, as I cannot hold these little guys due to their size, and gave them their favorite yogurt-on-a-cranberry treats.

And then back to my gaming. And then the next thing I heard was the squeaking, followed by scurrying. I looked into the cage, curious, and see the two hamsters in opposite sides. But I knew that something was amiss. I sat by and waited. Their interaction took place almost a minute later. Morgan, the big lumbering oaf that she is, went over to Cicero, and somehow got her flipped on her back! There must have been a couple blows exchanged, though they were so fast they would put Bald Bull to shame! But before that thought could even cross my mind, Cicero was climbing up the tube to the second level. I tried to feed Cicero another yogurt-on-a-cranberry treat, but she would have none of that. She was in no mood for yummy sweet treats. She was hurt. Her pride, ruined.

Shamed.

This continued for nearly ten minutes, until I finally separated them by putting a bubble end-cap in the cross-tube between the cages, thus rescuing Cicero from Morgan. Mission completed. They now live apart, and Cicero has even blocked Morgan from view by stuffing wood shavings into the little bubble end-cap. Now they never even have to see each other anymore.

It's heartbreaking. They cannot live together anymore. As a result, I must turn to the dear, sweet Freecyclers of our area, to see if anyone would have a loving home for the cutest ever, big lumbering oaf of a Roborovski hamster.

She's cute, kind of big, and loves to run in her wheel, but take care when trying to put her into the ball—she's fast!

Awe, I'm sorry to hear that. I would take her if I didn't know she would die of the shock of living with two cats.
