Are we done here?
Maggie is ready to be un-hobbled, untied....and taken out to her pasture with her babies!
I'm hoping that next year I'll have some doelings that I can bring up to be easy milkers. I also need to build a milking stanchion and that will make things considerably easier on both of us.
In October I'll dry her off so she can rest up over the winter and get ready to be freshened again in the spring. In the meantime, I'll enjoy all the homemade yohgurt, cheese and goodies that come with milking your own goat.
