November 28, 2009Eight Bands A Week (Week One): IntroductionHallo to all the Buzznet users. I want to introduce you to my new main focus on this site; a series of journals I am going to make that spotlight specific bands. It's basically my own knockoff of "Daily Music Dose", although I had this idea for a week, and I only discovered DMD yesterday. I call it "Eight Bands A Week", named after the Beatles song "Eight Days A Week". Starting today, I will go through the ups and downs of eight bands every week. One each on Sunday - Friday, and TWO on Saturday. Later today I will post my first entry, this is ONLY an introduction. EBAW will be something I plan to stick to for at least three months, and depending on views/comments, I may or may not continue with it. So, I'm not posting my first entry yet, not for a few hours. I need my beauty sleep too. But I will show you what this week will look like. Sunday: Green Day I will be doing those bands. All sort of well known, mostly (SP is questionable). I hope to have fun doing this and I hope it's something that gets me noticed. When people read my stuff, they can see that I can write quality sh*t most of the time. So I hope you guys enjoy this enough so that I enjoy it and keep writing. Because when I see people actually like my stuff and enjoy it, that's what makes me the most happy and most likely to write more.

everybody, everybody just wanna fall in loveeverybody, everybody just wanna play the lead happy late thanksgiving buzzzznet! <3 (seeing its now 3AM and most people are getting ready to go shopping) today was so refreshing. getting up at 8am.. for no reason actually it just sort of happened. watched mitchel on good morning america (=D) and watching too much cats 101 haha. cooking with my mom and my sister, lots of family over, eating too much food and going into a food coma for a couple hours. then somehow we went down memory lane, and it ended up with my sister and i dancing around to all of our old favorite boy bands. i guess i really utilized this holiday this year, unlike last year when i slept the ENTIRE day (didn't even make it to dinner!)
hahahah ahh. instead of going shopping tonight, im going to sit here and finish my christmas list and maybe go to bed at a reasonable hour.
and of course, the timeless question, what am i thankful for? my best friends, my family, and everyone on that wall and what they do :)

October 25, 2009Wakey wakey, sleepy girlSunday, October 25th, 2009 Today's a cold, rainy day. Good for reading and sleeping. Sleepy sleepy sleepy sleepy... Busy weekend. I'm really happy I've had something to do, instead of sitting here all weekend. Thursday, I went to Central to watch Ana's volleyball game and choir concert. I had missed her tremendously. I'm glad we got to catch up. I stayed the night at her house Thursday night, and we watched Dracula with Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves.
It has an awesome story line. I really liked it. I love the victorian dresses from the 1800s. They're amazingly beautiful. I want one. Ahha.
So gorgeous. Friday, Papa picked me up from Ana's, and we headed to Denver for my final dress fitting for Carla's wedding. I'm a juior bride's maid with Stephanie. I'm so excited for her wedding. It's the only wedding I've ever actually been in. Should be the best. Only two weeks away! After the fittings, we went to P.F. Chang's for dinner. So good. Got back late Friday night. Yesterday, I went to haunted houses with the family. Hell's Trail wasn't as good as I was hoping. Same as last year. I've been listening to the band Metric recently. Look up "Gimme Sympathy". Does Best Buy sell cameras? I think they do... Meghan

June 3, 2009"Sick Muse" videoCheck out our brand new video for "Sick Muse"! When FANTASIES was released, we realized pretty quickly that "Sick Muse" was getting a lot of attention in the UK. In the midst of a heavy schedule of touring and press engagements, we didn't know how we were going to manage to find the time to shoot another video! In the end, it happened spontaneously during a photo shoot with a couple of friends in Toronto. We went into the shoot with nothing but a wardrobe, a white wall and some party supplies, but we pulled it off! We had fun and we hope it shows!

March 6, 2009Metric
Metric is a band that can appeal to everyone. They have a sound reminiscent of Tilly and the Wall and Shiny Toy Guns, but they're a separate entity with their own unique blend of synth-pop and indie-rock. The band was formed in Toronto in 1999 and consists of Emily Haines on vocals/synth, James Shaw on guitar, Josh Winstead on bass, and Joules Scott-Key on drums. The band has released three albums; Grow Up and Blow Away, Old World Underground Where Are You Now?, and Live it Out. Another album, Fantasies is slated to come out in April of this year Songs to Check Out: Related Groups:
