Daily Music Dose: St Valentines MassacreShameless promotion is ok, right? We think so; then TrendySecret would like to shamelessly promote her friends in St Valentines Massacre. (The lack of punctuation is intentional.) They blend a wide array of subgenres of metal to create an auditory sledgehammer. Heavy, technical, and extremely personal, they're a band ready to take the metal world by storm.

Metallica Prove That They Can Still Rip Some Sweet MetalI certainly didn't see Metallica in their "prime." I don't know if it makes me a terrible fan or an incredibly dedicated one that it took me 17 years to see the metal gods live for the first time. And I certainly wish I could have been closer for the duration of the show. What I do know is that Metallica absolutely killed it performing at The Great Western Forum in Los Angeles. I may be late to the game, but I am still happy.

Classic Album Review: "Ride the Lightning" by MetallicaThe album was a major jump from Kill Em All and cemented Metallica as one of the most prodigal and influential metal bands of all time. The songwriting is unbelievably mature, full of both heaviness and melody. The album stands the test of time as a true classic. As with "Master of Puppets", the only way to truly do the album justice is to explore it track by track.
"Fight Fire With Fire" - The classical beauty of Metallica's first-ever acoustic intro leads into the sheer ferocity of one of their fastest and heaviest songs of all-time. James Hetfield's vocals are Read More |
