If your wife ask you to volunteer to go on a weekend program, you first say no, because you know no one else going, then asks again and you say no, and asks a third time under the guise of "we can spend some time together". So after signing up online and being accepted, being told she will not room with you, she has told a coworker she would room with her, then tells you that this coworker is driving and we will be riding with her, you suggest taking your car so that you can at least go to dinner one night without the roommate, but that is also out of the question. So when is this time we are going to spend together? Well it turns out I am doing statistics and she will be in Triage, they are close in proximity and we can take our breaks together, so you volunteered to give up four days to spend some time together, and the time is a 5 minute break here and there. You complain to no avail that this whole situation is BS but it does no good, she will not budge, so the entire weekend will be with the roommate. So you ask the person in charge if there are any other non medical people going whose wife would rather not stay with them, so at least you can complain together. And you tell her that and she goes berserk, so you drop the whole topic for now. What would you do?
